Are you passionate about anything?

Feeling like I’m not passionate about anything.
Having coffee with a friend today and she was telling me gym is her everything and she’d be lost without it.
My other friend makes clothes - spends all her free time doing it and loves it.
Lots of my friends have very flashy jobs that they are passionate about.

I feel like im not passionate about anything.
I work part time - if im not are work I’m
Doing the school run and house work.
I read in bed. I feel that’s my life! I’m panicking a bit on how boring and very flat my life is.

What are your passions?
I don’t know what I want from this thread? Inspiration maybe?

I don't have any either!

My close friends are very similar to me but my partner and his friends have loads of hobbies and are always out and about surfing, biking, in the gym, going to classes etc.

I feel like a right boring cow. Perhaps I will get some inspiration from people on this thread!!

I'm passionate about being comfortable. Only wearing comfortable shoes/clothes. Sitting on the sofa with a blanket over me. Lying in bed with my duvet. Eating hearty comfort food. Seeing people I really like on a 1:1 basis to have comfortable conversations. You get the idea.

MondeoFan · 27/10/2021 21:02

I love music and have the radio on or music in my car or play a song game on my phone. Not a hobby as such.
I love candles too and spend ages searching for the right one. Again not really a hobby.
Other thing I love is my car I guess you could say it's a hobby. Spend ages washing it, cleaning and hoovering inside. Reading up about it and have recently joined an Essex car club with like minded people in, hoping to meet up with them soon.

If you dig a bit deeper maybe you will find your passionate about simple things?
A long walk by the sea,
The garden,
preparing a good meal?

nokidshere · 27/10/2021 21:05

I'm passionate about having a calm life and I do everything in my power to maintain it.

Moonface123 · 27/10/2021 21:06

I am passionate regarding peace of mind and being at ease with who l am and where l am.( Self love/care) I used to over think and suffered with anxiety and panic.

I have passions, and they enrich my life.
I would say to be brave, think about what you might like, and try it!

Sparkletastic · 27/10/2021 21:07

Privatesector · 27/10/2021 21:11

Running, travelling, the gym, socialising, gardening, eating out, love it all!

dixiebloom · 27/10/2021 21:24

I read recently, that rather than look for a passion. THink of things you are curious about look into them further & they may turn into one.

Now that my kids are older I want to look into things that might turn into passions

TillyTopper · 27/10/2021 21:26

I'm really passionate about my job and learning a language (being doing the latter for 18 months). I am lucky enough to look forward to going to work each day.

HeadNorth · 27/10/2021 21:28

Horses, mountain climbing, running and yoga are my passions - in that order. I can’t imagine life without horses and hills - it would be like living in black and white.

Oblomov21 · 27/10/2021 21:28

Nope. Doing as little as possible, sitting at home in silence and mn'ing?

GetInThereLewis · 27/10/2021 21:31

Due to working in a slaughter house,I'm passionate about letting people no that there is very little humanity in their death. That high welfare/locally sourced meat stand alongside the rest. I've seen so many injuries, burns, open wounds, and broken bones to doubt the "quality" of the farms they come from.

Plus the animals destined for consumption we received were not fed for up to at least 24hrs before they travel to us,as this makes the processing stage easier. Less waste etc. So they arrived hungry, exhausted and frightened.

The plant I worked in would process (slaughter) 10,000 chickens every hour and 9,000 pigs a day.

I truly feel that people have the right to choose what they eat, but am tired of hearing about humane deaths within this industry,I never saw one humane death.

eeek88 · 27/10/2021 21:32

My hobby is my passion but at times it’s almost too much to bear! I’m completely addicted. Miserable without it. Turn down loads of opportunities in favour of the hobby. If it’s not going well it affects my general well-being. It doesn’t make me interesting , in fact I tend not to discuss it as most people aren’t interested. I wouldn’t be without it though.

Ilovechristmasasmuchasiloveyou · 27/10/2021 21:32

I'm the same @Poppets14 and I feel okay about it but every few months I visit these feelings and it makes me feel like my life is worthless and that I'm so bored of my life. Yet I don't have the get up to go and do something about it.

Resisterance · 27/10/2021 21:33

I'm passionate about feminism and the need for safe single sex spaces. And social justice. And books. And cake.

flowerycurtain · 27/10/2021 21:34

You have to tell us what your hobby is?! No one is going to guess who you are

MerylSqueak · 27/10/2021 21:39

I'm passionate about my job, my hobby and certain things about family and children and maintaining a happy life balance. I feel bad that my passions are very local to me and I will suffer financially when I am older because I insist on doing the (very badly paid) job I love. I'm sure you are or will be passionate about more things than you think.

GoodbyePorpoiseSpit · 27/10/2021 21:40

Passionate about some social justice issues - especially within safeguarding children which is my field. Passion wise... I love make up. It’s seen as shallow but... I love it!

Tanyaexoticsexgoddess · 27/10/2021 21:41

Feminism and the need to protect women's sex based rights. So much so, I'm afraid I'm becoming a bore at parties Grin
