Would you wear this out?

I purchased one of these recently - soooo comfortable and warm, I could live in it through the winter.
It's one of those oversized hoodie/blanket things - intended as a kind of dressing gown I think, but a grey and black squiggly pattern - not cutesie bunnies/unicorns etc.
This afternoon I nipped out to the supermarket in it (with leggings) I felt comfortable, and didn't feel as if everyone was staring at me & thinking who's the weirdo wandering round in pyjamas.
Would you wear it out?

No.

Thatsplentyjack · 25/10/2021 20:56

No, I have one but they are basically just dressing gowns and I wouldn't go to the shops in my goonie either.

Bluntness100 · 25/10/2021 20:56

Personally no but I’d not look twice at someone who did.

Oh if they look a bit goonie then maybe I would look twice.

No I wouldn't, but then again my home clothes are basically leggings and a hoody which I've worn to the supermarket many times.

Basicbitch40 · 25/10/2021 20:58

It's a snoodie. I have one and I wouldn't wear it out.

Monsterpumpkins · 25/10/2021 20:59

Sorry op but the design looks like a goofy Halloween pattern!!
Blush

MassiveHoard · 25/10/2021 21:00

No

Marelle · 25/10/2021 21:01

I wouldn’t go out in that. But I own some oversized hoodies and I do go out in those. They’re basically just a big hoodie made out of plain sweater fabric so they look more acceptable.

PinnyPencher3 · 25/10/2021 21:01

I don’t see why not. Looks like a hoodie to me. And people wear all sorts nowadays

DontWiltMySpinachPlease · 25/10/2021 21:04

If I saw you in it I'd either be jealous that I wasn't also wearing my one, or would give you a nod in solidarity as I was always wearing my own.

Soupseason · 25/10/2021 21:04

I can't see the problem. It looks like an oversized hoodie..

Jeezzzzzzz · 25/10/2021 21:04

Absolutely not!!

sbhydrogen · 25/10/2021 21:06

That's a no from me!

Sofiegiraffe · 25/10/2021 21:07

No

StoneofDestiny · 25/10/2021 21:07

I prefer a greater separation between nightwear and day wear. My outdoor clothing has to make me feel able to cope with any eventuality. This wouldn't pass the test.

WorraLiberty · 25/10/2021 21:07

Nope

TangledUp789 · 25/10/2021 21:10

Nope. I’d wear it to take my bins out, but wouldn’t venture any further than that!

PinkiOcelot · 25/10/2021 21:10

I don’t see why not.

Lerram · 25/10/2021 21:11

I think because it's black I wouldn't notice anything odd about someone wearing it out and about.

I'd wear it to walk to the end of the street to post a letter, but not to the supermarket.

FangsForTheMemory · 25/10/2021 21:11

what's a goonie please?

FlamingGoat · 25/10/2021 21:13

@FangsForTheMemory

what's a goonie please?
A (Scottish) dressing gown.
Cryalot2 · 25/10/2021 21:15

I am known for over dressing and never go out unless properly dressed and full face on.
Yet I might wear this as a cape type thing .
Depends on if it is oversized and what type of material its made of and what you wear with it.
So possibly if dressed up.
I have a fleece garment with a hood which I only wear after showering or if cold at night. It was sold as nightwear.

lljkk · 25/10/2021 21:16

I'd wear it. I'm busy doing my own thing, not noticing if anyone looked at me.
