Would you wear this out?

I purchased one of these recently - soooo comfortable and warm, I could live in it through the winter.
It's one of those oversized hoodie/blanket things - intended as a kind of dressing gown I think, but a grey and black squiggly pattern - not cutesie bunnies/unicorns etc.
This afternoon I nipped out to the supermarket in it (with leggings) I felt comfortable, and didn't feel as if everyone was staring at me & thinking who's the weirdo wandering round in pyjamas.
Would you wear it out?

Ah good sport OP! No wear it where you like. It really isn't that bad and looks cosy.Wink

Wingedharpy · 26/10/2021 00:01

I might.

But you are speaking to a woman who wore one of her husband's overcoats, with a trilby, to a wedding.......and crocs to Buckingham Palace, so I'm not exactly known as a snappy dresser!

I'm also of an age where I could wear a backless ballgown and a tiara to the shops and I would not be noticed.

I quite enjoy being invisible.Wink

SheilaWilcox · 26/10/2021 00:29

I would, but I barely notice what other people wear, let alone care.

If I nip into the shops on the way to/from somewhere then I go in wearing whatever whether that's heels on the way to a night out, or wellies on the way back from the woods.

LemonKitten · 26/10/2021 06:26

Meh, I'd wear it out - it's not like it's unicorn pyjamas is it?

Andwander · 26/10/2021 06:30

Horrid.looks like a big tent!

LynetteScavo · 26/10/2021 06:36

I don't like that design so wouldn't wear it at all, (sorry) but if it were plain black I'd wear it to the local supermarket. I'd even try to wear it to work on a Friday.

Gatekeeper · 26/10/2021 06:37

@ThinWomansBrain where did you get this from? Looking for one like this for dd...ta Smile

Shuffleuplove · 26/10/2021 06:47

Looks belting. Here’s me in mine. I like that it keeps my arse toasty.

Would you wear this out?
chaosrabbitland · 26/10/2021 06:51

yes , but then i dont give a shit about what people think and iv popped accross to the local shop in my pjs when iv felt like it

RudestLittleMadam · 26/10/2021 06:58

I have one too! Sooo comfortable but I wouldn’t wear it out and about and not the type that needs to look immaculate. They look too much like what they are- a much nicer version of a dressing gown.

Rollmopsrule · 26/10/2021 07:01

No I wouldn't but I wouldn't look twice at anyone that did.

MWNA · 26/10/2021 07:03

I wouldn't hesitate. But I largely don't give a fuck.

Eilatan2018 · 26/10/2021 07:08

Personally no as I think it’s quite ugly

ApplesAreTheBaneOfMyLife · 26/10/2021 07:30

I wouldn’t but I don’t think it matters two hoots if you did. I certainly wouldn’t stop and stare or judge.

My Waitrose is always bitterly cold so it might be a very sensible choice. I always have to try to remember to stick an extra layer on before going.

Mercurial123 · 26/10/2021 07:35

Never not even in the house.

IfIHadAHeart · 26/10/2021 07:39

Gosh that’s hideous. No. Never.

HairyScaryMonster · 26/10/2021 07:43

Probably just late evening or trips to the corner shop at obscure times.

Iwantmyoldnameback · 26/10/2021 07:57

I didn't realise it wasn't a fleece, if this is the year the Daily Express annual weather prediction comes true too right I'd wear it!

2Two · 26/10/2021 07:57

I can't see a problem with wearing one like that, it looks like a big tracksuit top. Cute bunnies etc, not so much.

LaurieFairyCake · 26/10/2021 07:59

I wouldn't look twice at you - very normal looking hoodie

girlmom21 · 26/10/2021 08:00

What material is it?
If it's intended as a dressing gown style item of clothing I wouldn't wear it out but I'd be envious of you because it does look cosy.

KingsleyShacklebolt · 26/10/2021 08:02

My 13 year old has that - it's a "hoodie blanket" from Primark. Half hoodie, half poncho.

It's most definitely a lounging around the house item and not a going out item.

TheBlackArt · 26/10/2021 08:27

Definitely not

Jamallama · 26/10/2021 09:05

I would. I don't give a hoot what anyone thinks of my attire, I'm dressing for myself, not anyone else.

Kitsmummy · 26/10/2021 09:22

You wore it to Waitrose Grin
