I used to get away with a £3 toy from Home Bargains but that doesn't seem to cut it anymore. Looking for new suggestions.

At one point it was a pack of plastic pan scourers. She reeeealy wanted them, and that was after a trip to Smyths where she didn’t want anything. Also used to the the toy magazines. Her best day out was a trip to Tesco.

Now it would be a trip to Miller and Carter for a decent steak.

McDonald's breakfast

SpicyPickle22 · 03/10/2021 09:35

Trip to yosushi for my 7 year old. I can bribe her to do anything with that!

Findahouse21 · 03/10/2021 09:36

Kinder egg for dd7, freddo for dd2 for something like going up a book band/spelling text etc. An extraordinary treat for us would be a trip to the cinema or zoo.

Aroundtheworldin80moves · 03/10/2021 09:37

Danish pastries for breakfast at the weekend.

Snowdropsandbluebells · 03/10/2021 09:37

Same here. Recently went and ds didn't want anything.

Set of pokemon cards or a football.
Hot chocolate in local cafe is a big hit.

LarkspurLane · 03/10/2021 09:39

A jar of edible cookie dough (gookiedough).

Anordinarymum · 03/10/2021 09:39

A kinder egg for my four year old grandson for being a good boy. If only everything in life were so simple :)

karmakameleon · 03/10/2021 09:40

A couple of quid to spend on sweets at the corner shop.

Tomnooktoldmeto · 03/10/2021 09:40

Chip shop chips for DS 17, we’re coeliacs and can only get them once a week on a Sunday

We all had our flu jabs yesterday and he’s asked for them for lunch as a treat today bless him

Evesgarden · 03/10/2021 09:41

Depends how old they are. DH spoils the kids with toys (and it pisses me off because toys/games have lost their value here)

So for treats ( I have too younger dds under 9) I allow them to go in Claire Accsesories ( which I detest) and they buy shite jewellery/weird earrings/crap hair stuff. Or the body shop which isn't too bad or the Dessert place which I love Grin

However dd (9) is partial to a candle lit spa bath using all my nice stuff - and I do consider it a treat as I have to sit outside the bloody door making sure she isn't setting fire to her self

holidaynearlyover · 03/10/2021 09:41

Used to be £2 each to get 2 things from Poundland 🤣🤣

Aroundtheworldin80moves · 03/10/2021 09:41

Being given a fiver and being let loose in The Works. Sometimes its a couple of books, sometimes a game some craft stuff, sometimes stationery...its their choice.

MrsKDB · 03/10/2021 09:41

A takeaway

TheOpenRoad · 03/10/2021 09:41

Vbucks or robux, takeaway dinner although admittedly that is more a treat for me.

LynetteScavo · 03/10/2021 09:43

DS2 - Party Ring Biscuits, or hot chocolate fudge cake

DD A bath bomb

Sirzy · 03/10/2021 09:43

Robux

cricketmum84 · 03/10/2021 09:43

Sunday morning Costa for my 12 year old!

MerylSqueak · 03/10/2021 09:44

Mine are 11 and13. Things I've done recently for treats are takeaways, nail varnish, a month's Disney subscription, cafe, special hot chocolate.

lilacdinosaur · 03/10/2021 09:45

A new sticker book or magazine, I wish they stayed this easy to please!

EatYourVegetables · 03/10/2021 09:46

Baking together and then eating what we made in front of the TV.

Extra points because between choosing what to make, cycling to the shop to get ingredients, making it, eating and clearing up, it can eat up half a weekend day.

Reallyimeanreally2022 · 03/10/2021 09:47

How do you feel after that meal?

Reallyimeanreally2022 · 03/10/2021 09:50

Sorry that was to @Tomnooktoldmeto

HPandTheNeverEndingBedtime · 03/10/2021 09:51

Matching socks, or it was until I threw all the patterned and coloured ones away and bought a tonne of the same plain black socks.
