To think Silent Witness is a pile of pants?

It seems to be more about detective work than forensic pathology, and all so far fetched .
Then the long lingering close ups, the clumsy plots and stilted dialogue.. it’s painful.

They seem more like police detectives than pathologists.

Love the simmering romance between them and that big Irish fella is a hunk.

Anything as ostentatious as SW in the opening credits needs to be better than "good" and for some reason the whole thing just irks me.

Shes always walked like that! It really annoys me for some reason.

I used to really enjoy it until Nikki all of a sudden became a detective as well as working in forensics.

Yes, plots are ridiculous. The Forensic Scientists do more police investigation and interviewing than the police do. It's tosh.

Oh I know it's nothing like real life... but I enjoy it anyway. Not everything on TV has to be a perfect representation of real life.

I turned it over tonight around 15 minutes in. The boxing stuff was so rubbish. Procedurally it's a bit nonsense but I don't mind that if the story and script are good. It has lost something.

I’ve tried few times but I have to fast forward through all dead body sets and then on table as they insist on photographing everything with flash bulb. Yes we can see it’s camera yes we can have fake noise. No we don’t need 10 rapid strobe migraine inducing lights because we are to stupid to imagine a photo being taken without being blinded. By then you have no idea what’s going on!

I still like it, but recognise it is massively unrealistic.

I really really miss Clarissa though. She had the right edge to make it less saccharine.

I used to really enjoy it, now it’s just far fetched nonsense. I’ve switched the last few episodes off.The plots are ridiculous and there is always a near miss for the main characters.The acting is very wooden.I think they have run out of ideas, need to call it a day.Only thing I like is the theme tune, disappointed by what follows.

I always think of Witless Silence too! It's been going for about 20 years too long. Like Casualty. Good ideas flogged to death for as long as possible.

It’s awful. DH likes it so I’ve watched a few and it’s excruciating. The complete absence of the police investigating, the face that Emilia’s team always somehow investigates and solves everything. The fact Jack looks like Data from Star Trek with his weird smooth face and wig like hair.

This season does seem particularly shit, though. Some really awful acting and writing ...I remember it went through a very violent period a few years back, but at least it had decent acting.
I also can't shake the French and Saunders memories! Wasn't it a tank driving over someone?

I haven't watched it for years. I saw a few minutes of an episode last week, it's even shiter than it used to be. Embarrassingly so.
