To think Silent Witness is a pile of pants?

It seems to be more about detective work than forensic pathology, and all so far fetched .
Then the long lingering close ups, the clumsy plots and stilted dialogue.. it’s painful.

We treat it as a comedy in our house; we roar with laughter throughout! That karaoke scene was as excruciatingly funny as anything in The Office. The stilted acting, the pauses, the wistful looks, the consciously pc characters and designer furniture porn! It is a woke spoof of a spoof!
We treat it in exactly the same way! It's becoming ever more ridiculous, but it's quite entertaining.

I loved it when Harry and Leo were in it, even though it was also far fetched then but haven't been able to watch it since. Seems to get more ridiculous each series.

It really is utter twaddle. And I find Emilia Fox incredibly irritating, for some reason. The karaoke scene this week was horrifically cringe-inducing, I had to turn it off!

It has always been a bit rubbish and there is no doubt that it is becoming more idiotic with each season. All the same I class it as tv to iron by and on that basis ( ok to look away, stands up to filling up the water chamber,predictable but pretty)I continue to watch it .

If I’m honest I’d never noticed her stilted acting until seeing her in those documentaries earlier this year - In The Footseps of Killers. We were driven to distraction with her acting in that ( despite it being real life)!

I never watched Silent Witness when it started all those years ago. I'm not sure why. I think perhaps I had some reason for finding Amanda Burton annoying! It might have been her accent - disclaimer, I am from NI!! Anyway, I've been watching all the old episodes on iPlayer and I love it. Yes, it's ridiculous how Sam Ryan manages to solve every crime by doing the work of the police on top of her own. It's jarring at times that she treads on so many toes and manages to keep her job. But if it was like real life, it would be very boring to watch. I've only just gotten to the episodes with Emilia Fox and she's ok, but I'm now a huge Amanda Burton/Sam Ryan fan, so my loyalty is being tested!

I went back into it last season and enjoyed it . But this time we stopped last week, the storylines got ridiculous and it was hard to follow.

It seems it goes the same route as Walking the Dead which I loved unitl they started weird storylines.

I used to watch it but haven’t for years. I always thought it was ok. Waking the dead was way better though.

A nightmare I cannot I unsee: the yucky student who stared at her and stalked her; the sex thing…bleurgh; the flaming melodrama. It was utterly insane this week.

I like Jack, though…

It is ridiculous but I still enjoy it.
Although the mysterious disappearance of Nikki's partner is rather puzzling

Also what happened to Jack's maybe daughter?
I miss Clarissa. And Leo. And Harry.
