To think it is impossible to get socks to stay on a newborn (recommendations pls!)?

Hello

Just that: I would love recommendations for socks or booties that will stay on my two week old’s feet. He kicks socks off with ease and then cries that he has cold feet, which he hates. This happens constantly through the day.

Help pls!

Sock ons! Google it :) buy more than one pair they’re so easy to loose.

supercritter · 29/08/2021 11:24

Baby bonds an Australian brand has integrated socks and mittens in baby suits. You can fold them back if not needed. They're amazing!

Indigomint · 29/08/2021 11:25

Yep. Sock ons. Great things.

orinocosfavoritecake · 29/08/2021 11:25

Tights.

orinocosfavoritecake · 29/08/2021 11:25

Or just keep him in babygrows.

WorraLiberty · 29/08/2021 11:26

Gorilla tape?

Justanotherquestioner · 29/08/2021 11:26

Also sockons. Or baby grow

Lemonnhoney · 29/08/2021 11:26

Just keep them in baby grows

Hankunamatata · 29/08/2021 11:26

We gave up and used babygrows. Nice white ones under clothes

Owlshouse · 29/08/2021 11:27

'Sock-ons' may be worth a try (little elasticated things that keep socks in place) although I'm not sure if they work for newborn small feet as I didn't put socks and sock-ons on mine until later around the 3-6 month mark as prior to that were always in babygros that had feet.

NoSquirrels · 29/08/2021 11:27

Keep them in a babygro. Problem solved!

CarefulDriver · 29/08/2021 11:28

sockons.co.uk/.

Agree with sockons. They weren’t around for my older DC but used them for my youngest and they solved the problem.

You can probably get them cheaper on Amazon.

IAmSuperman · 29/08/2021 11:28

Gorilla tape?

🤣

icedcoffees · 29/08/2021 11:29

Isn't this what baby gros are for?

Iggly · 29/08/2021 11:29

Baby gros! Socks are a pain

RandomCatGenerator · 29/08/2021 11:30

Do socks on have a different name? Not seeing it upon googling…

We do keep him in babygros quite a lot but he has a wide selection of rompers too! So need socks to keep his feet warm. I live in a place where it’s currently 35 degrees outside.

Tights were the only way with mine or babygro.

Sweetpea1989 · 29/08/2021 11:34

We even put the sock ons over baggy sleepsuits sometimes when she always wriggled her feet out the foot bit.

TheWayTheLightFalls · 29/08/2021 11:35

Put socks on under the babygrows.

Wannakisstheteacher · 29/08/2021 11:35

Oh God sock ons were amazing! When SIL had a baby they were in my top 3 recommendations for her.

RandomCatGenerator · 29/08/2021 11:39

Right - sock ons it is! Shall invest.

Any bootie recommendations also very appreciated.

The sock ons have brought back such memories Grin. Youngest is 11 now but I remember the Dribble Ons were really good too as he was a horrendous dribbler (he’d literally leave puddles on the floor) and they saved me changing his clothes multiple times a day.

TrufflyPig · 29/08/2021 11:48

My Nan knitted some old fashioned booties with a tie around the ankle, only things that stayed on.
