To ask for your “game changers”

Things you’ve bought that have essentially changed your life for the better.

For me, it’s a swim dress. Basically a swimming costume with a little skirt that just covers the bikini line. Flattering, hides my stomach and most importantly it doesn’t matter if my bikini line is needing a little attention. It has completely taken the stress out of taking the kids swimming and now we go all the time Smile

Other game changers for me include the perfect prep (🥰), L’Oréal eight-second wonder water, and Pinch of Nom.

Would love a eufy but live in a flat- am worried it would just fall down the stairs. Have just looked and it says in senses drops so theoretically it shouldn't do this. Does anyone here have a flat and uses it without going down the stairs?

LalalalalalaLand123 · 27/08/2021 19:07

I'm so curious about the Eufy too - but for me I've got lots of stairs and steps from one room to another, as well as loads of crap all over the floors.....not sure the Eufy would be a good choice for me with these issues lol.....

@beinglikedisoverrated I have the original shewee extreme resuable funnel from Amazon. I think it's brilliant, practiced at home when I got it and got the hang of it very quick.

Sauvignonblanket · 27/08/2021 19:43

@clarepetal I have a eufy and use it on my upstairs landing - it never falls down the stairs

Woop woop I might have to get one!

Cynderella · 27/08/2021 20:07

The biggest issue for our Eufy is cables and she shoves the bowl of cat food into a corner eating the biscuits as she goes. It's made us tidier with cables and we have to make sure cat food has been moved. If you have a lot of stuff on the floor, she'll just go round it so long as you leave a wide enough path. She's very good at going under furniture - that's a bonus.

olivethegreat · 27/08/2021 21:05

@MsFogi I tried a few as some weren't warm enough but settled on this one which is great

Could someone just reassure me I've not just posted a link to my entire back order list on Amazon...?!!

All good, just goes to hear mat.

SharpLily · 27/08/2021 21:27

@SwimmingUnderwater

Please keep us posted! I just couldn’t be bothered moving everything off the floor and unplugging everything first.
It's really not that hard - she either goes round things or, if they're lighter than she are she just shifts them out of the way. Anything too big for her to pick up she just leaves behind and I haven't had an issue with cables. She's very good at sensing an obstacle or a drop and doesn't get herself into trouble very often. In case you can't tell, I'm in love...
Twitchynose · 27/08/2021 21:50

I’m very good at keeping cables out of the way, I have house rabbits!
Cables are known in the rabbit keeping world as “spicy hay”. Turns out rabbit teeth and mouths are poor conductors of electricity, hence nibbling along cables exposing wires and not just through them. Humans on the other hand conduct electricity surprisingly well, especially when you pick up a cable to work out why an appliance isn’t working! Shock

OMG. I ordered the Eufy Max on Amazon yesterday. Came today. Me and 9 yr old DD have never seen anything like it. Just ordered one for my Mum while it's still on offer. I would definitely call it a game changer. Best £159 I've ever spent in my life.

RainbowZebraWarrior · 27/08/2021 22:11

And yes, we had to spend today moving / arranging cables and wires. I'm disabled, and I'm really paying the price pain wise but it was so worth it. And Eufy comes with cable ties to help you do this. Double whammy, I felt 100 times better dealing with my untidy cables I'd been ignoring for ages.

Russell19 · 27/08/2021 22:26

My game changer is snag chub rub shorts 🤣

Well I’m going to have to get one now aren’t I? 😁
SwimmingUnderwater · 27/08/2021 22:51

Is it the Eufy11 most people have got? One review says the 11 has rubbish suction?

ShinyHappySummers · 27/08/2021 22:57

@JellyBabiesSaveLives

2 single duvets on a super king size bed - much better sleep

Separate laundry day for each family member. No more sorting of laundry, and as they’ve got older they start doing their own on their day

Oooo!

They have a very sophisticated drop sensor. I’ve put mine on top of the kitchen island for fun and it doesn’t fall off.

Cj19877 · 27/08/2021 23:41

Love this thread, I've made a massive list!

Mine are...
A battery powered lawnmower- we have a reasonable sized garden and I love being able to zip around it without the faff of petrol or a wire
Ring doorbell - brilliant for deliveries, or just to be nosey without having to get up
Kindle app- I used to get real anxiety when my daughter was young and struggled sleeping, this was brilliant for relaxing me.
Chromecast-fab to be able to effectively turn a normal TV into a smart one (we've upgraded the main one TV now but still use one for the old one in the bedroom)
Car leasing - if things stay this way, I'll never buy a new car again. Pay less than 1k non-refundable deposit with monthly payments less than £250 to rent a brand new SUV with all mod cons. No MOT or tax to worry about and no worries about selling it afterwards, just hand it back.
Amazon Alexa -it's such a luxury to play music in the kitchen without needing to touch anything (especially while cooking/cleaning etc). It really is the small things!

CoRhona · 27/08/2021 23:59

@SwimmingUnderwater ours is a 11s (s for slim as our sofas are quite low) currently on Amazon for £129.99.

Our carpets have never looked so clean, I think on day one we were so loved up with it (as @RainbowZebraWarrior is now!) we sent it off to clean four times Grin

Sensors stop it falling downstairs too.

diamondpony80 · 28/08/2021 06:55

@Lockdownlumpy I use Vital Proteins - there's 20% off on the official website at the moment: www.vitalproteins.co.uk/collagen-peptides/12870151.html. It's also available on Amazon. They recommend 2 scoops but I just use one a day in my coffee - it dissolves and blends in perfectly and I can't taste it. I do still take all the hair & nail supplements, but I'm convinced that it's the collagen that has made the difference.
