Things you’ve bought that have essentially changed your life for the better.

For me, it’s a swim dress. Basically a swimming costume with a little skirt that just covers the bikini line. Flattering, hides my stomach and most importantly it doesn’t matter if my bikini line is needing a little attention. It has completely taken the stress out of taking the kids swimming and now we go all the time Smile

Other game changers for me include the perfect prep (🥰), L’Oréal eight-second wonder water, and Pinch of Nom.

@GrandDuchessRomanov

For those of you who have had your life changed by your robotic hoover do you have dogs?

I have a very hairy (but stunningly beautiful) border collie and am constantly hoovering!

Would it really work on dog hair?

That's what I was wondering.
DroopyClematis · 25/08/2021 23:51

Aah.. answered!

Hanswurst · 25/08/2021 23:52

@OohThatCat how come there’s no extra humidity from the airdryer?? I too have an old, damp house, which is the main reason I haven’t bought the Lakeland dryer yet - should I reconsider?

BodgertheJogger · 25/08/2021 23:52

A big plastic flask that has made me more hydrated.
A Buddhist centre monthly membership

Hanswurst · 25/08/2021 23:54

Also @Mum233 can you please tell me what thermos you use? Every single one I’ve ever bought is shit!!

Becca8675309 · 25/08/2021 23:58

This AMAZING foot file by Soap & Glory, about £10.

No more expensive pedi roller replacements, or guilt about using battteries, or non-recyclable stuff going into landfill. My heels and fee are so smooth! Much better than even a £75 Margaret Dabbs medi pedi, and way better than an electric Dr Scholl pedi thingy. Have had mine for ages. Tip - works best on dry skin.

Alexa shopping list. We have Alexas in the kitchen, living room and 2 bedrooms. We all add stuff - even ds is in the habit if he fancies something or uses the last of something

Me and dh both have the app so the shopping list is there regardless of who goes

Oh, and Elbow Grease. I'm always burning food. I just spray the empty pans with it and leave for a few hours and it all comes off like magic.

LemonSwan · 26/08/2021 01:48

I bought enough maximum length charger cables & plugs for every main room in the house where I regularly use an appliance, or if a collection of appliances - enough/ and type to accomodate all devices.

The plugs do not get moved around, the chargers do not get moved about. Other household members can use them in their allocated positions, but if they move them they are banned from use for a week.

Life changing

Lndnmummy · 26/08/2021 08:05

Oh sorry for the typo. I copied a WhatsApp message I sent a friend earlier.

Also to add my Dyson hover. I joke with dh that if we ever separate he can have everything (including the kids) if only I can keep the dyson.

Now I’ll be spending a fortune getting everyone’s stuff.

Mum233 · 26/08/2021 08:12

@Hanswurst

Also *@Mum233* can you please tell me what thermos you use? Every single one I’ve ever bought is shit!!
Oddly I got really cheap insulated bottles from wilko in the sale and not only do they not leak but they keep the liquid hot for 8 hours and they actually do. We went out for the other day at 8am with a coffee, forgot we had it. Came back at 4 and emptied it and it was still hot!
Loubelou14 · 26/08/2021 08:18

Phillips Lumea. No more unwanted hair.

Window1 · 26/08/2021 08:19

Anyone with a revlon one step that would refer to it as a game changer for your hair?

What are the hair loss (leg / bikini) products that people are recommending? (Also does it hurt!)

FangsForTheMemory · 26/08/2021 08:29

Fancy coffee machine. I dithered about buying it because it was £350 but I wouldn’t be without one now. Robot vacuum - does one of the jobs I hate most. Dishwasher omg I love it to the moon and back!

FangsForTheMemory · 26/08/2021 08:35

And Marie Kondo! My folding isn’t as good as hers but the bliss of being able to see what you can wear without raking through drawers . . .
