Went out with my boyfriend on Sunday on our first proper day out together - to a tourist type city about 10 miles away so plenty of nice walks etc - since finding out I’m pregnant- it felt exciting in a way - but I had burning indigestion for a lot of the day - so I was complaining I had tummy ache and needed a wee for a lot of the time! In other words I feel like my boyfriend’s just acquired a toddler Grin I want to make our days out and date nights nice and romantic but since being pregnant I either need to wee, burp or sit down every 5 seconds 😂 I was just wondering is this what family days out are going to be like now - I think my boyfriend’s illusions of me have been shattered! Grin The elasticated waist trousers has also now had to come in so he’s already lost his body conscious, gym bunny girlfriend!

Some people don't even know they are pregnant in the first trimester. Others have been hospitalised with things like HG by then. I had horrific SPD from 4, weeks, and by 8 weeks I was in tears if walking too much and limping (I ended up needing a wheelchair and prescription painkillers by the end, and was still in agony). So every pregnancy is different.

It did make me giggle though if I'm honest, when you asked if it's what family days will be like. Keep your insomnia/energy level, add a lot of are/poo, constant demands for feeding/entertainment, crying, moving on to having to chase them, trying for them not to kill themselves, work out how they will nap on the move, dealing with poo accidents in public etc, and you are some of the day there.

Indigestion, sore feet and tiredness isn't a family day out, it's a pregnant one. Of you have a second, you'll have the glorious experience of both at the same time 😬
