AIBU to ask you to tell me if this fits?

DH has bought a new suit and we’re not sure if it fits! I felt that it looked a bit…baggy. But then I’m used to slim-fit suits so maybe this is just what they’re supposed to look like!

Thoughts below please :)

It fits.

Too loose.

It looks a bit baggy on the arms and bottom of the legs. But not sure if that's me used to seeing very tight-fitted suits on men recently.

I think it's nice. Super skinny suits are for teenagers.

I would say it’s not as slim fitting as is the fashion these days but I wouldn’t look at him and think ‘your suit is too big/you look shit’

I don’t think sizing down would work as I think the cut of the suit is naturally meant to be like that.

That’s fine.
Slim fits either scream salesman who’s going to lie through his teeth to get the sale, or someone desperately clinging to youth.
They are also ‘hilarious’ to look at - especially if the person wearing them is tall and the viewer is short or sitting down. (🤢 not envy)

Jacket looks a bit big at the front I think but not terrible.
As someone has said it might just be cut like that rather than slim fit.

I think it’s fine, it’s not a slim fit suit. My oh wears similar styles, he tends to buy a size up as he hates how even men’s clothes are skin tight nowadays.

I think it looks really nice and fits him really well. It's not a slim fit so it isn't tight. I really like it.

I think it looks nice. Sits right in the shoulders. Figure hugging clothes aren't everyones thing for various reasons.

I used to sell men's suits and pin them for alterations- this looks like a good fit across the shoulders and back on the jacket which is the most important bit. If he feels it's a bit baggy across the waist and trunk, any reputable tailor can pin and take in the side seams (we used to charge about £25 for this).

If he's not sure, I would recommend wearing it for a day or two and then deciding if it bothers him. The trousers look like a good, straight leg without being too slim.

No it fits. It hangs from his shoulders at the right point, and you can see from the box pleat at the back it is falling correctly. Cuff is also falling correctly to his hand.

People have become used to a slim fit suit on a man, which this isn't.

It's fine. It's not a slim fit suit. I like it. There are a couple of places ie lower arms that it could be slightly better. But it's fine.

How much. It it's under a certain price I'd definitely keep it.
