AIBU to ask you to tell me if this fits?

DH has bought a new suit and we’re not sure if it fits! I felt that it looked a bit…baggy. But then I’m used to slim-fit suits so maybe this is just what they’re supposed to look like!

Thoughts below please :)

I think it looks fine..skinny suits dont look good unless your under about 25 and even then a lot look like they are going to give at the seams if they move wrongly

Hugh looks like he needs to size up or not breathe out

It's okay but I think it could do with a few minor adjustments to just make it hang slightly better.

I prefer it to FrangipaniDeLaSqueegeeMop's 'boyfriend' Hugh's suit. It's all very nice but I really don't like that 'poured into his suit and forgot to say when' look that a lot of men wear now.

His trousers look too short and his big shiny shoes sticking out at the bottom like that look huge and comical.

It fits.Very smart too.

Going against the grain with most replies but it's just a bit too big. It's shapeless, and looks too square, puts me in mind of utility goods aka a fridge! Trousers don't fit well either, but I'm being hyper critical and I'm sure no one would notice. In rl I wouldn't notice it's only because you're asking I'm critiquing it.

As a few people have asked it’s M&S and was about £125. He did try a size down in both the jacket and trousers and unfortunately they were both too tight.

I don't wear suits very often, but when I do, I want them to fit like that one does. I'm too old, and too odd a shape for slim/skinny fit, despite DW's protesting to the contrary. I want a little room to move. That looks good!

Jacket is just a bit too big . I'd compare the size smaller just to be sure.

It looks a bit baggy on the arms and legs to me but not too bad.

The jacket is too big but he could get it altered to bring the shoulders in a bit and shorten the sleeves. Wouldn't cost to much and would make a world of difference.

Why do people keep going on about how horrible skinny fit suits are? None skinny fit suits should still fit properly. It's slightly too big across the shoulders and back which makes it look ill fitting. It's fine but due to the fact it does fit perfectly it's not hitting the dapper suit note. Fitting properly doesn't equal skinny fit!

Yeh that’s not what people mean. Of course slim fit should still fit, it still looks shit though IMO

I think it's too loose. I like the fabric though.

Is he barrel chested OP? It's very hard for barrel cheated men to find a suit that fits well unless he goes to a tailor

Hugh's trousers are too slim fitting and too short imo.

Good , flattering fit. Super-skinny is awful.

I see so many people, men and women, who would seriously benefit from a more generous cut or one size up. All of this super tight stuff looks horrible on most people.

He looks like the buttons are going to pop off if he breathes out! Not a great look to me.
