My dh had a shower before dinner today. I was dishing up dinner in the kitchen. Dh had a towel round his waist whilst going from the bathroom to the bedroom. Next things I know lots of laughter and giggling my 13 year old is running down the stairs laughing and said mum mum dad just said mum likes a good flash! Apparently the towel had fallen from his waist and dh said your mum likes a good flash! I was so embarrassed! My boys aged 13 and 15 thought it was hysterical!

I should think my children would be embarrassed but I wouldn't.

SunshineCake · 03/08/2021 18:35

No. It's fine.

Ivy48 · 03/08/2021 18:36

Awh it’s a joke lighten up. They’re of an age where they are more than likely aware of innuendoes. No harm done

DeathStare · 03/08/2021 18:37

It's pretty cringeworthy but I wouldn't get worked up by it.

daisypond · 03/08/2021 18:37

Is there more to this story? I can’t see anything wrong with what he said. It seems fine to me.

FenceSplinters · 03/08/2021 18:37

Really?

Peace43 · 03/08/2021 18:38

It was a joke, kids laughed, no issue!

At that age if my dad made a joke like that I probably would have cringed to death Grin it’s just a mildly rude joke I wouldn’t worry about it.

nocoffeenobooze · 03/08/2021 18:40

Huh?!

ThorFull · 03/08/2021 18:42

My 5 and 7 year olds would find that hilarious.
I think it’s fine for older kids.
Nice you can all laugh together and are comfortable around each other.

chipsandgin · 03/08/2021 18:42

If they are his kids & you have no reason to think anything sinister then no issue, seems a reasonably amusing way to deal with his towel accidentally falling if he’s their Dad & has no form for being a perv. If not his then definitely more of an issue.

Tbh (as long as there is no back story or drip feed) then joking about and not attaching embarrassment or shame to to sight of a naked body in a non sexual context is better than giving the message that there is something about it to be ashamed of.

Howshouldibehave · 03/08/2021 18:43

I think that’s funny! Presumably it was just your own two teenagers, he wasn’t flashing his cock to a load of their mates?!

HealthKick2021 · 03/08/2021 18:43

Well do you like a good flash? 🤣🤣
Your kids found it funny, thats all that matters. Its light hearted.

girlmom21 · 03/08/2021 18:43

Nobody would find that hysterical, nor would anybody find it embarrassing like you're making out...

FatJan · 03/08/2021 18:44

I thought that was funny

knittingaddict · 03/08/2021 18:45

In our house that would have been met with a groan and an "oh dad". No harm done.

Stevearnottsbeard · 03/08/2021 18:45

It's exactly the kind of thing my husband would say!! 😂 😂 And my kids would also find it funny, they are 11,12 and 16. I would roll my eyes and laugh. Really don't understand why or what your so upset about

1forAll74 · 03/08/2021 19:00

par for course in some households. Its very funny.

Aquamarine1029 · 03/08/2021 19:03

Are you always this prudish? This actually embarrassed you?

Flipflopfoodle · 03/08/2021 19:08

Genuinely embarrassed? They must know you've seen their father's cock? Or did you tell them you just had sex twice with a sheet with a hole between you?

DariaMorgendorffer · 03/08/2021 19:11

Just a silly joke.

EmeraldShamrock · 03/08/2021 19:12

He probably thought it was a witty comeback in the moment. If they laughed they won't be emotionally scarred.
If it was my dad at that age I'd be mortified I saw his penis.

Runmybathforme · 03/08/2021 19:15

I think it’s lovely that they all had a good laugh, sounds like a happy home.
