You guys need to stop filling the thread when nothing is happening!!

In the meantime I had the most amazing nights sleep last night. Absolutely full of food and had an amazing day and frankly this morning I couldn't care if he's there for 6 months Grin

Tell him as far as you know you haven't got any forest Ranger locked I. your drive - but you do have a car dumped illegally there that some Rangers are taking an interest in.

ShamelessCurtainTwitcher · 02/08/2021 15:35

@AllyBama

Fucking YES, this is exactly what I needed tonight. It’s 10.30pm in Australia, I’m up with a sick toddler and this is exactly what I’ll be reading over his shoulder as he drools in his sleep on me. Get in!!
Haha! 3 continents have decided that this man is a huge piece of shit.🤣

@HaveringWavering

OK can you give us the teeniest clue what X stands for in " Can't do. Am at X"

A cheeky fuckers anonymous meeting? Relate? Parenting classes?

The Gym of course!
notanothertakeaway · 02/08/2021 15:35

If he doesn't reply to say he'll come at 7.30pm, you're under no obligation to stay in to wait for him

He needs you more than you need him

melj1213 · 02/08/2021 15:37

@BlueEyesWhiteDragon

Hes not responded to my no yet and I feel I make a mistake as I now don't know if that means he's coming at 7.30 or not.

I need a way to find out without giving ground or looking like I care if the car goes.

Personally, as he hasn't responded I would go about your day regardless but I would definitely be unavailable even if that means at home but not answering the door at 5pm.

If you were planning to be at home at 7.30pm then it's no issue if he shows up or not but I wouldn't be scrambling to get home specifically for 7.30pm if you are out (Carvery dinner, anyone? Grin ) and if he kicks off then tough, he didn't confirm the time so he is only inconveniencing himself further.

SpiesRUs · 02/08/2021 15:38

Wow his entitled attitude knows no bounds.

PhoenixReincarnated · 02/08/2021 15:38

If he texts back to agree to 7.30 I'd be tempted to reply "See you at 7.30pm. Don't forget your apology."

Glumgal · 02/08/2021 15:39

My money is on him just turning up at 5pm anyway on the off chance.

He really is a jackass isn't he. No apology or anything!

FrippEnos · 02/08/2021 15:40

I wouldn't even try to confirm with him.

You have set a time, if he can't pick it up at that time then tough.

HaveringWavering · 02/08/2021 15:40

You do need to go out between 4.45 and 7.30 though as he may decide just to turn up and then you lose the moral high ground if he realises you lied about going out.

dapsnotplimsolls · 02/08/2021 15:40

Has the cuddly army been re-deployed yet? Your DB doesn't need to leave until 8pm, does he? 😃

Whatwouldscullydo · 02/08/2021 15:40

Oh u have to be out now until 8.

Cuddlyrottweiler · 02/08/2021 15:40

TakeMeToKernow · 02/08/2021 15:41

p.s. Mesne is pronounced “mean”

BlueEyesWhiteDragon · 02/08/2021 15:41

I do spectacularly like the way his message is just factual and almost like it happened to him without conscious choice. Oh my god how did my ranger get there....

I am genuinely going out in half an hour anyway and have given strict instructions to all here not to unlock the gates for him on pain of absolute utter unending agony and to either make him wait for my return or tell him to come back.

OP posts:
DeflatedGinDrinker · 02/08/2021 15:42

Op text him at half 6 and say you cannot make it back and he will have to get it tomorrow morning

GrasssInPocket · 02/08/2021 15:43

My money is on him just turning up at 5pm anyway on the off chance. ... very likely, as he'll assume the OP will be out and will have taken the vehicle blocking the gate. He could try anything - best make sure your security cameras are working, OP!

Gym. Possibly spin class.
HaveringWavering · 02/08/2021 15:44

What reason will they give for not unlocking? I hope it is "We want to see you apologise to White Dragon in person".

Has DB gone now?

dapsnotplimsolls · 02/08/2021 15:45

I wonder if he'll turn up at 5 anyway with Tweedledum, Tweedledee and Tweedletwat ...

Fernando072020 · 02/08/2021 15:46

Ugh this man.
I can't believe how much rage I feel towards someone I don't know. No apology, no asking when is best for you. Just a demand and also a sly accusation. "Locked in your drive".
So he's well aware it is YOUR drive and still no apology!!! Unreal.

Well done, op for not just saying yes!!

Cerebelle · 02/08/2021 15:46

Urgh the fucking brass neck of him!

tattychicken · 02/08/2021 15:47

I'd be worried he turns up at 5 with mates and bolt cutters, knowing you're "out".

NeverMetANiceOne · 02/08/2021 15:48

This guy is the gift that keeps on giving!

lifeissweet · 02/08/2021 15:48

Take any keys you have to that gate with you, OP. Then no one could open it even if they wanted to.

I am absolutely staggered by men like this. I used to be married to one (I wonder why that ended?). They are so utterly self-righteous that it is physically impossible for them to do anything wrong or need to apologise. If he's like my ex he will have done some amazing mental gymnastics to make this all your fault. He's probably been telling other people about the awful woman who has held his car to ransom.

Pillock.

I'd like to think this is teaching him a lesson, but I fear it won't.
