Am so pleased to see that the Brighton cat killer has been jailed for five years.

I know not everyone likes cats, but I don’t think IBU to think that you don’t go killing or maiming them. Feel so sorry for the owners who lost their cats or had to deal with horrific injuries.

YANBU, he sounds like a dangerous person with the potential to move on to attacking humans.

What a sick fucker! Got what he deserves.

I know MN is quite anti cat but i'd be seriously concerned about anyone who doesn't agree with this sentence!

(And I mean this sentence for the crime in question and not this sentence compared to much more heinous crimes which have meant less prison time)

Is this the man who was killing cats all over that the police lied and said it was foxes I hope it is. I had the sad chance of finding two of the cats he done and I won't go into it as it's so sad but no it wasn't foxes unless carried sharp knives.

He didn’t actually admit it (even though there was evidence at home and on cctv). I want to know why he did this.

If it were up to me, anyone who deliberately goes out to hurt a defenceless animal should be made to take their chances with a crocodile or bull shark. Unarmed of course.

No, this is a different one. The one you’re thinking of is/was dubbed the Croydon Cat Killer. I still don’t believe it was foxes in those cases. I’m sorry you found 2 of the cats, that must have been really distressing.

Having read the article it seems he had some sort of weird obsession/fetish going on.

It's really creepy not to mention unbelievably cruel.He deserves prison time for intentionally causing suffering to animals.

Considering the easy connection between Croydon and Brighton I really hope it's the same person (I've also never believed the fox theory).
