Am so pleased to see that the Brighton cat killer has been jailed for five years.

I know not everyone likes cats, but I don’t think IBU to think that you don’t go killing or maiming them. Feel so sorry for the owners who lost their cats or had to deal with horrific injuries.

@SaskiaRembrandt

"YANBU, he sounds like a dangerous person with the potential to move on to attacking humans."

I agree totally.

This is how psychopaths start (like Ian Brady). They abuse animals first then graduate to children.
I am very glad he is no longer a danger to cats or society.

I’m not normally vindictive, but I’m a bit disappointed he only served six months. Would rather he’d died a couple of weeks before his release date.

It would be interesting to know if he ever talked about his motivation. Certainly a psychopath but I hope something has been learned about behaviour such as this.

I'd love an hour in a room with him tied to a chair.

Would you now?

I think the sentence is bizarre. People have literally got less for torturing their own children to death. And if he'd hunted the cats on horseba

Porcupineintherough · 18/06/2022 12:27

...horseback with hounds he'd probably have only got a fine.

No you're not vindictive, you're a decent human being, as are those who enjoy justice. He targeted defenceless animals and enjoyed watching their suffering. Agree with you on his not having served his full sentence. Sure there are plenty of animal lovers in jail, who would have happily cornered the trash in the showers.

Incidentally, I'm glad I don't personally know the tiny percentage, who voted YABU. Yuk.

Take him to the local zoo and drop him into the lion enclosure . We'll see who the big man is then!!😀

I don't believe the Croydon cat killer was actually foxes either. I've heard of some of the things that was done to those animals and foxes are not sadistic. The disgusting things that occurred to some of them could only have been done by a human. The police dismiss it as foxes because it is easier and some officers who don't like animals will think "well, they are just cats". But most of the world's worst serial killers started off with animals. And then got bored. Another reason why people who do this sort of thing need to be taken off the streets.

I'm glad that the Brighton cat killer has been jailed. Anyone who can deliberately hurt an animal has a black soul.

Madamecastafiore · 18/06/2022 12:53

He's obviously mentally ill. Dead now anyway.

HRTQueen · 18/06/2022 13:06

What a cruel and disturbed man he is

I doubt his desire to harm animals will be cured by a prison sentence

he is sadistic it’s frightening to think what he will do will he is free

It's less than 45 minutes' drive from Brighton to Croydon. It takes longer than that to get from Madeira Drive to Ditchling in rush hour. That's not to say there aren't other sick fucks out there, but he's vastly more likely to have been doing it further away from home first before getting comfortable with how he'd been described as 'a fox' by the idiots from the local Plod who didn't really give a shit in the first place.

It’s definitely not the same person. A confirmed case (confirmed by a vet) happened only last month where I live. I’m in south east London and the wonderful volunteers who try to track these things and take the bodies to a vet for an autopsy live locally. They were definitely separate people.

DuckBilledPlattyJoobs · 18/06/2022 13:24

Should have got a life sentence

One less maniac to worry about, he’s dead now.
