OK, not in person, but I'm bloody loving 'Clarkson's Farm on Amazon Grin and look forward to an episode per night. I know he's a bit of a prick, but the programme is really watchable and I'll be sad when there's no more episodes.

What is getting you through?

I have been enjoying that show. Can't decide if my favourite bit is him getting electrocuted by his fence or headbutted in the gentlemans area by a sheep.

TheQueef · 14/07/2021 16:50

Can't stand the bloke.
Glad he was exiled from Yorkshire.
Watched almost all of Clarksons Farm, despite all that Grin
It's just at the right pace for me and I'm learning about farming too.
Recommended it to my Ddad, he can't abide JC either and he thinks it's brill.

FelicityBeedle · 14/07/2021 16:51

I despise him as a person but I enjoy his shows. I just don’t admit it in public!

SummerHouse · 14/07/2021 16:53

Is it appropriate for a 9 yr old? Wondering about letting DS watch.

I totally get this OP. Joe Wicks saved me during lockdown one. Find him so irritating but he became routine.

AdoraBell · 14/07/2021 16:55

I wish I’d seen him being greeted by the sheep 🐑🤣

MaintainingPositivity · 14/07/2021 16:55

We love this, JC is like exercise sometimes I like it, sometimes I don't!

This series is fabulous, absolutely hilarious and Gerald is brilliant - worryingly I understand most of what he says Grin

I agree Grin Clarkson's Farm is hilarious!

We were rewatching Father Ted and The IT Crowd. Now we are at a loss :( I shall watch this thread...

TonTonMacoute · 14/07/2021 16:58

I love it too, Kaleb is wonderful!

Enb76 · 14/07/2021 16:58

There's a fair amount of swearing and I probably would have let mine watch it at 9 but am letting her watch at nearly 13. She thinks it's hilarious.

It's very funny - I'm also firmly in the 'Clarkson is a knob' camp but in this he has surrounded himself with some people who also think he's a bit of a knob but also have some genuine fondness for him.

I hope it opens people's eyes as to what's going on with farming in this country.

Cocolapew · 14/07/2021 16:59

Kalebs perm was a highlight Grin

Ratched · 14/07/2021 17:00

I am covid ridden and reluctantly started watching this at lunchtime.

Still watching! Absolutely brilliant!

Is it a spoiler to stay that the second episode showed a completely different side to him? I am emotional at the moment, so had a weep too!

Love Kaleb, but also Lisa - she is absolutely beautiful and her accent.....😘

onlyhereforthecake · 14/07/2021 17:00

Knob or not, he's very good at what he does (television, farming is another issue Grin )

YANBU to enjoy the show, I've been surprised how many people are watching it and talking about it around me.

They haven't edited out the swearing - plenty of effing and blinding, but in terms of content I would say yes.

Iamnotminterested · 14/07/2021 17:05

Kaleb's perm Grin

Absolutely despise the man. But this show is brilliant! I never imagined I would be saying that!

NumberTheory · 14/07/2021 17:11

I’ve been watching Grand Tour. Clarkson is a prick, as are the others, but I find their genuine love of cars really compelling.

Ratched · 14/07/2021 17:13

Apparently there won't be the expected second series🤨

Notavegan · 14/07/2021 17:13

I watched it on a mumsnet recommendation and am now sharing with others how good it is..brilliant show and I don't like him either.

Heyha · 14/07/2021 17:17

I wanted to hate it but he has done such a good job of summarising the ups and downs of farming. It's very well regarded among all the 'proper' farmers I know that have watched it and I think they were mostly even a bit sympathetic that he got done over with some of the sheep he bought at the auction at the beginning!

TruffleShuffles · 14/07/2021 17:18

It works because it comes across as really genuine, top gear and grand tour were so heavily scripted it became smug and unbearable to watch. Clarkson is a bit of a knob but I think he very much knows he’s a bit of a knob and in this programme he also takes people telling him he’s a bit of a knob really well. I could watch him as a sheep farmer all day.

Bryonyshcmyony · 14/07/2021 17:19

My friends who are actual farmers love it, so I watched it despite really disliking JC. I agree, it is great. Very funny and very truthful about the reality of farming.

ColourHex · 14/07/2021 17:22

Not usually my kind of thing but really enjoyed it. First time I've seen Clarkson seem genuine

Iamnotminterested · 14/07/2021 21:56

Did I see an earlier poster saying there won't be a series 2 😔

Same here

I have never liked him in anything he has done but I loved Clarkson's Farm
