At 5’4 mother in law seems to think not. She told me I could do with loosing half a stone. I was about half a stone lighter before I had dd.

She sounds awful. Don't listen to her and remember to keep her and her comments away from your children as they move through their tweens and teenage years. They don't need to hear this.
I'd be tempted to ask her why she wants to hurt you with her deranged comments.

Im 5ft4 and the lightest I've ever been is 9 stone and I was extremely slim for my frame and head looked big.

You are slim and even if you weren't, she needs to keep her opinions on your weight to herself!

@TheCanyon

I'm 7 stone 12 at 5 ft 5, I don't remotely look tiny. Although I've lost a half a stone through illness, said illness has totally wasted my muscles so I feel quite shite.
I'd love to see a photo if you are honestly saying you don't look tiny at 7 stone 12

I’m 5 4 and 8 stone. Size 6 and often accused of being too thin. Tell her to go do one pls. I’m so over people feeling like they have any right to comment on other people’s weight!

I’m 5’2” and 8 stone is my suggested “ideal weight” and was what I weighed most of my life. I have been as low as 7stone ( when I did look very very thin) and as heavy as 9 stone 4, which I currently weigh and I look 7 months pregnant. I think at 5’4” you would look fairly slim at 8 stone.
