She was a style icon yet she’s in one of those frumpy waist belts that were only in fashion briefly. The face does nothing to represent how beautiful she was. It’s too harsh.

Harry is much more like Diana and Philip in personality, whilst William seems to take after his father. They're chalk and cheese.

They really shouldn't make statues of anyone. They never look like the person and are always bloody awful. Her top is far too low cut and, of course, we have to make it pc by adding the children of differing ethnicities.

I think it's lovely.

One of the things I like is that the figure is right. Diana had broad shoulders, very long legs and not a particularly small waist. The statue has got that perfectly. Before I zoomed in on the face I could tell it was her and I found that moving. I think the face isn't fantastic but it's not awful at all, again I could tell instantly who it was.

No I think he just won’t play games. In his twenties there used to be ructions that he wouldn’t play ball with his own PR people.

You can view it as bloody minded or you can view it as principled, or both, but I think it is a consistent character trait.

The crap Mary Wollstonecraft statue isn’t being replaced unfortunately, however money is being raised to make the other statue which wasn’t chosen and the drawings are stunning. She is standing by a bench where we can sit beside her , there is a pile of books with her hand resting on them and she has a quill in her other hand. Have a look on google

Kneeling to talk to a child pose, sideways on, would have been lovely and unexpected but so totally 'Diana'. Sculpted with the right outfit (kitten heels, full pleated skirt crumpled on the floor?) you'd know it was her without even seeing a face. Iconic!

It's an image we saw over and over again when she was alive. So elegant - but no concern for the outfit when it came to getting close to the people she wanted to talk to.

You could argue that it's not about us, it's all about the princes - but how many fond memories have they got of watching their mother herd random miniature adults children about?
