My dead mothers vase
I through it at a complete loser.

WeBuiltThisBuffetOnSausageRoll · 30/06/2021 00:31

Does 'wind' count - immediately after 'snapping'? Grin

StillMedusa · 30/06/2021 00:31

One of my Ikea wooden plates.
I'm not proud of it.. I frizbee-d it at my DS1 during his horrific teen years (he was truly awful and I just lost it one fraught day)
It hit the wall and broke in two. Eventually my Mum found a set in a charity shop so I replaced it.
ps DS1 is a lovely man now and forgives me :)

MorriseysGladioli · 30/06/2021 00:33

All of my crockery.
It was kept on a dresser, and I smashed it all.
Had to eat my dinner off a casserole lid.

Itstoofuckingwarm · 30/06/2021 00:34

Surely there’s not posters actually willing to admit to breaking things in anger?! Usually the Pearl clutchers would be screaming ABUSE( (of a vase?!)

For me ... way too many to even go into.

Taliskerskye · 30/06/2021 00:39

My vase. Pointless really. The person who I was angry with didn’t care (it wasn’t aimed at them) and I lost an antique vase I loved

thefirstmrsrochester · 30/06/2021 00:43

At detriment to myself, a bottle of Chanel No. 5. Which I regret some 20 years on. Never been able to afford to replace it, however it affected only me.

CanIbeRio · 30/06/2021 00:45

Got so cross with dd...back to back to back and repeat lack of doing the right thing....threw a musical Beatrix Potter figureine which I'd lovingly chosen for her first Christmas. It's in the cupboard waiting to be glued. Can't bring myself to look at it 😪

avamiah · 30/06/2021 00:47

My Heart as anger doesn’t get you anywhere, but I did smash my iPad screen once .😩

honeyytoast · 30/06/2021 00:50

A phone screen or two... Blush

Warmhandscoldheart · 30/06/2021 00:59

I ripped a romance novel to shreds during an argument with my Ex husband whilst shouting "There's no such thing as true love, it's all a bloody myth"

19 years ago, I broke my ex's nose. I punched him in the face when I found out he was cheating.

nervousseacreature · 30/06/2021 01:04

A toilet seat. Stupid awkward sized one you can’t get a replacement of

OnceUponAMidnightBeery · 30/06/2021 01:05

My toe. Hurt for months.

ARoseDowntown · 30/06/2021 01:05

Interesting. I live with someone who has occasionally broken things in a rage. I find it baffling. Do you feel better afterwards? A bit sheepish? Catharsis? So odd to me, to take anger out on inanimate objects. Surely it’s better to bottle it up, think up a devious and evil plan, and take it out constructively on the person or situation that made you angry???

Grin
HarrietSchulenberg · 30/06/2021 01:09

My big toe. I kicked my car tyre, in the style of Basil Fawlty, when it broke down one day.

Councilworker · 30/06/2021 01:09

I slammed a drawer shut so hard that two heavy perfume bottles fell off the dressing table. One landed on top of the other and they both smashed. If they'd landed on the carpet they would have been fine but nope...not this time. And then I stood on a sliver of glass clearing it up.

MorriseysGladioli · 30/06/2021 01:19

I've also thrown a tv over the bannister in the communal hallway.
It was heavy; I had to roll it out into the hall and lug it to chest height to get it over.
A bit like "the strongest man" programme. Blush

To answer the question, yes, very sheepish after the event.
I haven't done anything bad for years and years.
I'm too lazy now.

EBearhug · 30/06/2021 01:22

I don't think I've ever broken anything in rage.

Gingerkittykat · 30/06/2021 03:39

The horn of my Ford Escort in a fit of road rage.

Yes, I feel like an idiot after I do things like that.

Caramelsmadfuzzytail · 30/06/2021 04:12

A plastic measuring jug.

elp30 · 30/06/2021 04:14

I kicked a door and put a hole in it during an argument because my husband was just being a so pig headed and we were just going in circles.

I made the realization at that moment that I could no longer live with him and I left him. He's now my ex-husband.

I hate revisiting that memory because I have never done anything like that in the 28 years since then.

Rememberallball · 30/06/2021 04:44

A sentimental casserole dish. I was in a bit of a lather about something and was scraping out the leftovers into a bag ready to go in the bin and not being at all careful. Hand slipped and dish went flying across the kitchen ending up in pieces - there’s even still a couple of marks on a radiator pipe from the contents!!

That dish wasn’t just sentimental, it was also perfect trifle sized, so I’ve got countless identical ones saved on eBay waiting for me to buy the ‘right’ one

SmackMyAssnCallMeJudy · 30/06/2021 04:47

Er, nothing.

Not sure what I’ve been doing with my time, to be honest….
