As in opening up a packet of smoked bacon rashers that you’ve just picked up from the supermarket, the type you’d put in your fry up, and just eat straight out of the packet? I wash shocked but they told me it’s totally normal and lots of people do it??

Errr no people shouldn’t be eating raw bacon! Envy

saveforthat · 07/06/2021 18:26

I don't think that's normal and I don't know anyone who does it.

Wavypurple · 07/06/2021 18:27

Oh god I feel a bit sick at the thought

Northernsoullover · 07/06/2021 18:27

You can get parasites from doing that. Grim.

Dontstepinthecowpat · 07/06/2021 18:28

Do they think it’s like prosciutto? Envy not envy

HannaHat · 07/06/2021 18:28

I know someone who sometimes eats it like that. She says it’s just like smoked salmon 🤮

gingerbiscuit19 · 07/06/2021 18:30

Nooooo this is so wrong

THATbasicSNOWFLAKE · 07/06/2021 18:32

Urgh imagine the wobbly white fatty bit 🤮

AgnesNaismith · 07/06/2021 18:33

YANBU but when I was a child I sometimes tore bits off raw bacon and ate it - I honestly craved it!

Not now I’m a relatively normal adult though, I just go for a teaspoon of marmite. I wonder if it’s something to do with iron deficiencies.

Aurorie11 · 07/06/2021 18:33

Saw someone eating raw bacon from a packet on a train Envy not envy

Sparklingbrook · 07/06/2021 18:35

Eww. Just why? Do they have a raw sausage too?

GrandDuchessRomanov · 07/06/2021 18:35

That's just made me feel really sick!

Who was it OP?

purplecorkheart · 07/06/2021 18:35

Vile, not wanting to make everyone sick but I shared a house with person who crushed up raw sausage on brown bread with sugar sprinkle over the sausage. She had worms (She told us in detail ) but refused to give up her "treat".

XenoBitch · 07/06/2021 18:35

I have done it.

Yellowhighheels · 07/06/2021 18:36

It's normal if you want tapeworm

romdowa · 07/06/2021 18:36

Oh god, honestly that is just vile!! But I like my rashers almost cremated 🤣🤣

Arbadacarba · 07/06/2021 18:37

OK if bacon has been traditionally cured but probably wouldn't risk it with supermarket bacon.

AlmostSummer21 · 07/06/2021 18:41

🤮🤮🤮

Vile & dangerous.

Tlollj · 07/06/2021 18:43

I’m pretty sure that’s a sure fire way to get worms.

anothernamereally · 07/06/2021 18:47

My teen once did it on holiday mistaking it for Parma ham Confused

Taliskerskye · 07/06/2021 18:48

It’s not common but there isn’t much wrong with it if it’s proper smoked bacon. Because then it’s obviously cooked.

FourTeaFallOut · 07/06/2021 18:50

Urgh that's grim.

BlueDucky · 07/06/2021 18:50

Ewww no.

hibbledibble · 07/06/2021 18:54

Yanbu. That's revolting. But then so is bacon in any form, as well as terribly unhealthy, and bad for the environment.

partyatthepalace · 07/06/2021 18:55

NO. Uncooked pork is pretty dangerous. Who is the fuckwit who told you this?
