We just have 2 nights booked in July with the teens and another 2 nights just dh and i in August and one overnight stay and that's it. Our main holiday was moved to 2022 (3rd time moving) and another was cancelled. I cant wait just to get away if for 2 nights in the UK.

Anyone else got plans?

No plans other than going to PILs. I can't find what I want for a price I am willing to pay!

Coldwine75 · 30/05/2021 18:25

superduster · 30/05/2021 18:26

2 weekends away glamping/caravan. One or two nights in a hotel on a visit to relatives.

BananaBoatFeet · 30/05/2021 18:27

Yes. As soon as I can. I’m desperate to see my dad who lives an 8 hour plane ride from me. Also my brother. Actually, make that all of my family and friends who live an 8 hour flight from me and who I’ve missed terribly this last 18 months.

Tal45 · 30/05/2021 18:27

God I hope so, 3 holidays abroad if they'll let us in and two short breaks in the UK - first one starting tomorrow. I can't wait.

DrMadelineMaxwell · 30/05/2021 18:28

Were away in Devon now. And in S wales in Aug.

bathorshower · 30/05/2021 18:28

A week self catering in the UK - we booked it before the 'roadmap' was published, so prices were still sane (ish).

Silkiecats · 30/05/2021 18:35

I've booked 2 weeks in the summer in North Devon and Isles of Scilly. DH would love to see his family in France esp 88 year old mother but despite them both fully vaccinated it doesn't look possible as quarantine here and there as well as multiple tests.

Hoping will be more freedom to travel in 2022 but half wondering if should book UK now.

ShinyMe · 30/05/2021 18:41

No, it's looking unlikely. I go to stay with my parents, but usually I go on holiday with my mum. But my dad is disabled and she is his carer. Usually she gets respite care about 3-4 times a year, and I go away with her, but she hasn't had respite since the pandemic started and it's not looking likely for some time yet.

newnortherner111 · 30/05/2021 18:43

In the UK yes. Nothing overseas.

MurryFuff · 30/05/2021 18:44

One week in the middle of nowhere in a beautiful thatched cottage..

Another weekend glamping.

No trips abroad.

Getawriggleon · 30/05/2021 18:46

Devon in two weeks time, long weekend in Yorkshire in August and hoping to get abroad before the end of the year, Covid permitting, if not we'll go somewhere else in the UK for another short break.

Takemetothebar · 30/05/2021 18:47

As soon as those planes are flying, I’ll be on them.

Well, figuratively. I need to get to France ASAP.

TokyoSushi · 30/05/2021 18:52

We've got a week in Cornwall next week, we're holding off booking anything for the summer just in case by some miracle international travel becomes any easier...

ShinyMe · 30/05/2021 18:53

I might try and go camping for a few days in August. But I feel bad having a holiday if my mum can't. I'd go and do the care for my dad if I could, but neither of them want me doing that for him, so... yeah.

GillBiggeloesHair · 30/05/2021 18:56

10 days in UK at the end of September, rebooked from March.

TimeForLunch · 30/05/2021 19:02

Yes, Canaries in July, Devon in August and Dubai in October. Making up for post time!

TimeForLunch · 30/05/2021 19:03

*lost time

lawandgin · 30/05/2021 19:03

4 days in a cottage in Devon and I can't wait! We did 4 nights camping last year and might do a few more this year if we can find anymore availability. No travelling abroad for the foreseeable.

IsabellesMissingSock · 30/05/2021 19:04

Yes. Just coming to the end of a few days' break in the U.K. Going to book a trip for July/Aug to somewhere on the green list after the next update.

AvonCallingBarksdale · 30/05/2021 19:05

Greece for two weeks as long as we can 🤞🏻

wtheck · 30/05/2021 19:06

I'm on holiday now and the weather is lovely but it's just on busy for me. I'm so not relaxed and I just want to go home away from all these people Confused

I appreciate that I am here thus part of the people problem. I just prefer it when the people who want to go abroad are able to do so and are not in Wales with me!

delilahbucket · 30/05/2021 19:07

UK holiday tomorrow. It's actually our honeymoon transferred over from last year and today was our second scheduled wedding date. We're now not getting married until August, but the honeymoon was already booked so might as well go 😂

Xiaoxiong · 30/05/2021 19:08

In Cornwall at the moment (half term), and have tickets for the states in August to see family for the first time in 2 years having cancelled our annual trip last summer. I am just praying we can go otherwise it will be another year again. My wonderful uncle died alone in a hospice in December, not from covid, but no one was allowed to be with him thanks to bastarding covid-safe restrictions so we are holding his much delayed memorial service in August when we come over.
