We just have 2 nights booked in July with the teens and another 2 nights just dh and i in August and one overnight stay and that's it. Our main holiday was moved to 2022 (3rd time moving) and another was cancelled. I cant wait just to get away if for 2 nights in the UK.

Anyone else got plans?

Done a long weekend in Blackpool at end of April and have another long weekend away over the August Bank Holiday in Wales.

We won't be doing a holiday abroad in a while, but having a 1 year old also contributes a large factor!

KnotKnot · 30/05/2021 19:10

A few days planned away (within the UK), but that is all for now. Would love to be going overseas, but I'd not do that right now.

Abraxan · 30/05/2021 19:13

Yes, dh and I are currently on holiday driving the NC500 in the Scottish highlands. Flew to Inverness on Friday night and travelling around the coast, for 9 nights til Sunday.

We are also going to Cornwall and Devon in the summer. Hopefully teen Dd will be going to a festival in the area - she's flying down with friends but we will take their tent in the car and drop it/pick it up for them.

In October half term the three of us are booked to go to Florida to the parks. It's all cancelable/refundable so if it doesn't happen we can rearrange if need be. We will go if able.

BiddyPop · 30/05/2021 19:14

Just short of a week with family.

Just short of a week in an EU capital.

And probably at least a few more weekends visiting family.

And possibly teen and I will do a few days near coast in a family holiday house (for her to go surfing) and maybe a few days camping (or I might even do that last one solo if she sticks to her stance of "not with Mammy I'm not" - DH doesn't do tents since the 1990's).

Does being a Cub Leader in summer camp count? That would be another 2 nights.

And teen dd is flying to Portugal for the weekend next week to meet up with her best friend who has been on her gap year out there. First chance it's been possible, she's very excited.

MojoJojo71 · 30/05/2021 19:21

We should have been going to Australia for 3 weeks but instead will be going to Northumberland for a week in a caravan in July and then a weekend in York in august

Sparklesocks · 30/05/2021 19:35

Only a couple of long weekends, don’t feel confident booking abroad until things are clearer and can’t find/afford a full week in the U.K. due to demand.

JaceLancs · 30/05/2021 19:36

Short break in U.K. very soon
Visit to friends in U.K.
Stay with another friend in her static also U.K.
Just booked a U.K. cottage for September
Booked a week off work in November but will decide where to go nearer time - abroad would be lovely but am not getting my hopes up

BrilliantBetty · 30/05/2021 19:40

A couple of nights in a hotel in Suffolk, by the sea. I'm not paying you excessive amounts on a UK holiday. To me it just isn't as fun or enjoyable as going abroad, beautiful as parts of the UK may be. So I'd prefer to save the cash.

TattiePants · 30/05/2021 19:41

Yes, currently in Anglesey and then scotland in August.

Lyricallie · 30/05/2021 19:43

Yes hopefully! I have my honeymoon booked for a week in August in London and I'm going to do some of the west coast of Scotland (I live in the Highlands) and see some sights I've never seen even though I've lived in Scotland my whole life!

AfternoonToffee · 30/05/2021 19:45

A week in the E.Yorkshire coast in the summer holidays. Booked August last year.

Sometimesonly · 30/05/2021 19:45

Two weeks at the seaside in Italy. Can't wait!

MiniCooperLover · 30/05/2021 19:48

Two weeks in Kos with my DH and DS (9) and then 4 night at some point in a greek island on my own 👍

ToffeePennie · 30/05/2021 19:50

Already been on one 4 day holiday, got another booked for July for a weekend, a 7 night stay in august and a weekend holiday in December. Might try and get somewhere for October half term if there’s anywhere I fancy.
Next years holiday is already booked too, and I’m planning on 3/4 weekend/short breaks too.

mobear · 30/05/2021 19:50

One week in Greece in early July, I hope!

ShanghaiDiva · 30/05/2021 19:51

Yes: Cornwall at the beginning of July and Pembrokeshire in October.
Also plan to do a few city breaks.
Nothing booked abroad as after the trauma of trying to get home at the start of the pandemic (I was living in China and could not get back in) I am looking for something stress-free for this year.
I haven’t lived in the uk for 25 years so a staycation is fine with me.

UberMullet · 30/05/2021 19:52

I live abroad and have a tentative trip to Italy booked in a month. I have no idea whether this will be feasible or not. We are all fully vaccinated but of course it depends on the rules at the time and whether the EU Vaccine passport app is an actual thing by then. I'm not convinced it a good idea whatever

bert3400 · 30/05/2021 19:52

Yes I'm off to the Caribbean in 3 weeks, been to Mexico a couple of months ago ( I don't live in the UK, so could travel) .making the most of cheap travel . Not scared of CV. I'm fit & healthy....life is for living

OrangeSamphire · 30/05/2021 19:52

Yes. We’ve already been away once and two more trips planned.

Only within the county we live in though (Cornwall).

mumsiedarlingrevolta · 30/05/2021 19:53

A week in Bamburgh in September.

So excited!!

Waxonwaxoff0 · 30/05/2021 19:53

Not abroad. Off to Butlins tomorrow, then London and Norfolk in the summer holidays.

Jennyfromtheculdesac · 30/05/2021 19:55

Why aren’t you booking UK holidays OP? I’m on holiday right now, week in the UK. It’s lovely. Arrived yesterday and feeling so much better already.

jiskoot · 30/05/2021 19:55

Nope, already live in North Devon so staying put for the time being, although might just rent the house out for the summer with the prices being charged here at the mo!

Seashor · 30/05/2021 19:57

Living in a beautiful coastal village in the West Country I’m hosting lots of family this year and I can’t wait to see them all.
