We just have 2 nights booked in July with the teens and another 2 nights just dh and i in August and one overnight stay and that's it. Our main holiday was moved to 2022 (3rd time moving) and another was cancelled. I cant wait just to get away if for 2 nights in the UK.

Anyone else got plans?

4 holidays booked in various Greek Islands over the summer, first one in four weeks but no idea whether or not we'll get there. Fingers crossed - simply cannot wait to get back on a plane!

Sidesaladofchips · 30/05/2021 20:03

1 week UK break self-catering. But depending on the R rate (remember that?!) by July, we'll see, even if it means losing the money on the booking.

No way would even contemplate going abroad.

shivawn · 30/05/2021 20:04

Nope but I might have towards the end of the year if I wasn't pregnant. We'll do plenty hotel breaks and trips away in the campervan here in Ireland where we live though. Will hit Maldives or Costa Rica early next year all going well.

whiteroseredrose · 30/05/2021 20:04

If we can I'll book Sicily in September, very much at the last minute. It's the last time we can all go together as a family so fingers and toes crossed.

We went to Iceland last year - booked 3 days before departure which nearly killed me. I usually book a year ahead!

bigbluebus · 30/05/2021 20:05

Canal boat holiday booked for 1 week in June with friends. Small festival in August (tickets carried over from last year). If weather is good we'll camp for the whole week instead of just the 3 days of the festival.

WhatsappRicky · 30/05/2021 20:17

Yes!!! I’m going away tomorrow with my DS, then the week after 6 of us are going away. I have 2 holidays abroad (America and Spain) booked for later this year, if they can’t go ahead we’re going to book a last minute to somewhere else. I was out yesterday in a bar full of people and it was just amazing to see people out, smiling and living life.

Picklesbaby · 30/05/2021 20:17

We’re 🤞🏼off to Portugal for 2 weeks on Thursday -3rd time rebooked . 3 days in Lytham in July & weekend at peppa pig world in August

Miseryl · 30/05/2021 20:27

Waiting to book one abroad in the summer. Don't like going away in the UK due to weather so if we can't go abroad we won't bother.

Checkingout811 · 30/05/2021 20:34

We’ve got a few weekends away booked in the UK.
Spain in July - fingers crossed
Canaries for new year

Gladioli23 · 30/05/2021 20:37

Got a week in Wales booked for late June, with fully comprehensive covid travel insurance including if I have to isolate as a contact of someone else.

Then also going to go either to either the South downs or to South Devon depending which friends holiday home we visit! I definitely do not have a holiday home but feeling very lucky to know people who do as it meant we have been able to flex around the regulations and not worry about if someone has to isolate and can't go :)

funnylittlefloozie · 30/05/2021 20:40

Yes! We're going to Scotland for a week in July and Cornwall in the autumn (we will probably drown in the rain but don't care). We were lucky enough to manage two holidays last year as well.

I'm so looking forward to being able to go abroad again - DP and I have so many plans that we want to fulfil.

FakingMemories · 30/05/2021 20:41

California in September

Fuckitfuckit · 30/05/2021 20:43

Got an amazing deal in a caravan in Skegness in June.
Then hopefully 3 foreign trips abroad, but I suspect the jury will be out on whether we're going or not until we actually get on the plane x

ImbarbaraB · 30/05/2021 20:43

We had a euro weekend trip booked with friends later this year
I think it will be cancelled as it doesn’t look like the country will be on any amber or green list

We have a week away in November in the Uk but even being sure last years November holiday would go ahead we went into lockdown again so I’m not confident of either

If France was green I’d be shooting across there on the euro tunnel and staying in a remote camp site

osbertthesyrianhamster · 30/05/2021 20:43

Going to England on holiday next month, abroad in July, another UK holiday in October.

SuperCaliFragalistic · 30/05/2021 20:44

Yes. Got 3x self catering weeks booked for July, Aug and Oct and 2 x camping weekends in July and Aug. All within 2 hours drive from home and all booked a long time ago. I prefer to holiday in the UK though so this is normal for us.

Whitewolf2 · 30/05/2021 21:05

Yes we’re in Norfolk this week (very lucky with the weather!) and Isle of Wight in August.

hilarymantlepiece · 30/05/2021 21:06

Week camping in Scotland in September, fingers crossed.

Groovee · 30/05/2021 21:06

Booked my favourite lodge for our wedding anniversary in October. Trying to find a last minute local holiday for the summer holidays. But Dh has been so ill and a change of scene if he is well enough would be amazing x

Delectable · 30/05/2021 21:23

Went for IVF in Greece 2 weeks ago. Sadly it failed. We went to two Islands and then came home.

Bourbonic · 30/05/2021 21:26

Yes, I have a few booked in the UK. I can't be doing with all the chaos and queues in airports.

FuzzyPuffling · 30/05/2021 21:26

No. And unable to get into my local small town today due to lengthy traffic jams because of holiday traffic. It's hell.

motogogo · 30/05/2021 21:33

Got 5 weekends booked plus a trip to Italy, not holding out too much hope for that one

Echobelly · 30/05/2021 21:37

Going tomorrow to airbnb near Welsh borders for 5 days.

A week booked end of August camping on SW coast with friends for a few nights, then 4 nights in an airbnb a bit further SW.

Not going to try abroad this year mainly as sure airports will be nightmare and it generally seems unwise. Might book plane tickets in advance to go to my parents 2nd home around Christmas (not a big tourist destination) - won't go in the fairly likely event travelling doesn't look like a good idea, but we don't lose too much as we won't be paying for accommodation.

LemonRoses · 30/05/2021 21:43

IOW as and when we feel like it.
Dartmoor next week.
Lakes in September.
Borrowing a friends boat for a few days sailing around U.K. coast.
A couple of bookmarked long weekends for city breaks with friends when and if travel around Europe becomes simpler.
