To ask what is NOT okay to buy second hand

I try to buy second hand stuff as much as possible. I need some new towels-are second hand towels unacceptable?

I think second hand knickers would be a line drawn and towels have probably been just as close if not closer to someone's Front Bottom.

Where do you personally draw the line?

Hotel towels have been all over loads of people. If you are happy to use hotel towels are second hand towels any different?
Underwear a def no no.

I've had second hand towels from family so I know who's had them previously. Not sure I'd have them from anywhere else even with a boil wash.

I spat coffee all over my desk once when a colleague told me he'd found a second hand mooncup for sale on gumtree!

Car seat. Underwear, swimming costumes. Medication.

I remember when I bought a mooncup on eBay, another seller was listing their ‘barely used’ one 🤢

I’m happy with bras but not pants, but I’ll take pants second hand from family. I would be fine with towels and mattresses. I wouldn’t take reusable period wear, unless it was pants that had only been tried for fit maybe? And no to sex toys. Otherwise I can’t think of anything else I wouldn’t accept secondhand

I don’t really buy anything second hand, definitely not clothes, don’t mind second hand furniture but I don’t buy anything else second hand

I was thinking about this today because a microwave popped up. I could buy an oven second hand but not sure I could a microwave and have no idea why!

The only things I would buy second hand are cars , houses and animals , everything else I prefer new , although I’m happy to take stuff from my sister as I know where it’s been .

Would you even find towels in a chazza? I'd wear second hand anything. I've bought and worn enough vintage underwear to know I'm not bothered if anyone has worn it before me,

I made all my adult dc agree never to buy second hand electrics. In our previous rental our smoke alarm went off as we were going to bed.. Quite a big house and took a few mins to realise the smoke was coming from the utility room - as the tumble drier started sparking.. Dh switched the power off and lugged it outside.. Our ddogs were minutes from being caught in a fire.. .. Was quite terrifying..

Everything apart from pants! Washing machines are pretty efficient these days I even have second hand cloth nappies! Absolute bargain off ebay.
