Ordered myself some new knickers from M&S. I accidentally ordered the wrong style - full brief..... they’re huge. They cover my bum and come right up to my waist. Proper granny knickers. Omg I love them. They are so comfy. I am only 41.... aibu to convert to giant pants at this age???

It was good enough for Bridget JonesGrin

LagneyandCasey · 12/04/2021 15:06

YANBU.

Once you've discovered the delights of big pants, there's no going back

IHaveBrilloHair · 12/04/2021 15:10

Nooooo, I will not wear them, tbf I don't find them comfortable anyway, just too much fabric, and not enough of me to fit them on!

IDontCarryOnLikeAPorkChop · 12/04/2021 15:11

Love my giant/granny pants.

BobbinThreadbare123 · 12/04/2021 15:12

I've been wearing the big knickers since I was in my twenties. I'm younger than you, OP. Comfort rules over the off chance someone sees them or even notices VPL, every time!

MarshmallowsOnToast · 12/04/2021 15:12

I'm still wearing the massive pants I bought only for after I'd given birth. My baby is 11 months old.

Massive full briefs in a size bigger than I am normally. I'm 31 and loving them!

PeggyArmstrong · 12/04/2021 15:13

YANBU! Up until a few years ago my underwear would have fitted into a matchbox with room to spare but I too have seen the light, giant pants are ace!

MrsMackesy · 12/04/2021 15:13

Hello Mummy!

YANBU.

Thongs are so yesterday.

ApocalypseNowt · 12/04/2021 15:15

Started wearing massive pants after birth of DC1 (csection). There's no going back.

DC1 is 9yo.

SirenSays · 12/04/2021 15:15

Do whatever makes you comfortable. I can't stand the pressure on my tummy and its just too much fabric for me. I wear seamless thongs, even the thongs with a bit of extra lace annoy me.

purplebagladylovesgin · 12/04/2021 15:16

I made the same mistake when ordering from M&S recently. I completely agree. Happy mistake!

MrsMackesy · 12/04/2021 15:18

The joy of Belly Warmers.

pepsicolagirl · 12/04/2021 15:18

I am on the full briefs. I have nobody I need to impress with silly knickers and full on granny pants are just so comfy

EnglishRain · 12/04/2021 15:20

YANBU. I got some of these for after my c section and I love them

whatsoccuringnow · 12/04/2021 15:20

Wore them for three years after my kids. So comfortable but the unsexiest thing ever. My sex drive has returned recently and I've thrown out the granny pants and re found my love for nice underwear!

Wear whatever you like is ny answer, in short.

I did the exact same recently and ended up with my first multipack of “full briefs” at the age of 50. OMG they are enormous. I don’t mind wearing them, but I won’t be buying any more just yet. Actually maybe I will.

Available in all sizes.
CheerfulBunny · 12/04/2021 15:23

I'm doing it and I love it. I am 47. In my 20s I used to insist I found g-strings comfortable Grin Total lie.

Isaidnope · 12/04/2021 15:23

I’ve been wearing them for years and I’m in my twenties. They’re used to be period pants but then realised how comfortable they were during pregnancy and sort of kept wearing them Grin.

BeeyatchPlease · 12/04/2021 15:24

All hail the kidney huggers!!!

I first bought enormous Granny pants when I was pregnant and for after my c-section. DS now 3 and I'm still wearing them. I'm in my mid 30s and I'll never go back now.

noblegreenk · 12/04/2021 15:25

I started wearing granny pants when I had my c-section...I've never looked back!

To be completely honest, I don't wear them all the time because I still want DH to fancy me Wink But they're fab for wearing to work, especially under tights.

IHaveBrilloHair · 12/04/2021 15:27

My knickers aren't silly, aren't worn for sex reasons, and even in my size are just too bloody big.
Cotton bikinis are fine tyvm.

picklemewalnuts · 12/04/2021 15:29

Keep your kidneys warm. Love a pair of big knickers. Everything else seems foolish now.

I mean, why stop halfway up your bum?

IDontCarryOnLikeAPorkChop · 12/04/2021 15:29

My full pants are nice underwear, thank you very much. Ditched the 'arsehole scratcher' for a 'blanket for my bum'! I know which one my bum thanks me for.

Willow4987 · 12/04/2021 15:31

God I can’t go back to low rise after my c section. I wore some the other day and christ....it’s rubbed horribly on the scar (which is over a year old)

Big knickers all the way
