Razzmatazz by Pulp.

It’s bloody catch though.

What’s worse?

You're so Vain. Carly Simon.

Ginuwine · 29/03/2021 19:44

What is your AIBU?

There's "Chat", that gets plenty of traffic

Hmm
Sparklingbrook · 29/03/2021 19:45

YABU or possibly not. Who knows.

Chicchicchicchiclana · 29/03/2021 19:46

Do you mean worse or better?

Yabu.

My personal favourite is Yes by McAlmont & Butler.

TrialOfStyle · 29/03/2021 19:47

Sorry - let’s try again - Razzamatazz if the most vitriolic song - AIBU in think so (thought that was implied by putting on AIBU but I guess not to some). If not- what?

Everybody Knows by Leonard Cohen

Sparklingbrook · 29/03/2021 19:50

Never heard of the song. I liked Common People though.

mbosnz · 29/03/2021 19:55

'Why'd ya do it' by Marianne Faithful.

More vitriolic really. Yes is a great revenge song, but it’s definitely taking the higher ground (with a little bit of ‘go fuck yourself’.

‘You’re so vain’ is pretty vitriolic but I don’t think it is nearly as cutting as Razzamatazz.

I’m equally love and hate those songs where it’s personal and awful. Razzamatazz is incredibly sexist which I hate, but that anger pouring out is satisfying. I was wondering if there’s something worse than it.

@Chicchicchicchiclana yes yes yes I had forgotten about this song thank you

Dugee · 29/03/2021 20:01

I'll have a listen to Razzamatazz. I like angry songs for my running playlist, thanks for the suggestion OP Grin.

MsRinky · 29/03/2021 20:03

You Are Just Dead Skin To Me by Primal Scream is pretty nasty.

SummaLuvin · 29/03/2021 20:05

agree with @Ginuwine I don't understand what would be unreasonable about you liking a popular song Confused

enjoyingscience · 29/03/2021 20:07

Caught out there by Kelis. It’s definitely vitriolic. (I hate you so much right now, aaaaaaaarrrreegggggghhhhhh)

LudoBear · 29/03/2021 20:08

I don't even know what vitriolic means.

Chimeraforce · 29/03/2021 20:16

You oughta know by Alanis morrisette

TrialOfStyle · 29/03/2021 20:16

Ah, Caught Out is amazing for that anger!

Not familiar with You are just dead skin to me - the title seems pretty angry though. I’ll add it to my list this evening.

Death on Two Legs by Queen.

You Oughta Know by Alanis Morissette

Pretty vitriolic.

TabbyStar · 29/03/2021 20:16

Pulp's I Spy, Pencil Skirt and Underwear are all pretty vitriolic and on the theme of fucked up relationships, though I don't know Razzmatazz

You Little Thief by Feargal Sharkey is pretty vitriolic.

TrialOfStyle · 29/03/2021 20:20

If you haven’t listened to Razzmatazz it’s very cutting. The first few lines are this:

The trouble with your brother,
He's always sleeping with your mother.
And I know that your sister missed her time again this month.
Am I talking too fast or are you just playing dumb?
If you want I can write it down.
It should matter to you,
Cos aren't you the one,
With your razzmatazz and the nights on the town?

I think it really is one of the most vitriolic songs out there. It’s brutal.
