and a bit bored...what are you doing right now on this Friday night and what are your weekend plans?
I’m sat on the sofa at home in Portugal, watching Corrie, eating Lidl chocolate mousse and crisp & mayo butties (Friday night or my eating crap night!) haven’t drank since April, so crisps are my thing.
Toddler Dd has gone to bed with Dp.
Need ideas for what to do for a lockdown weekend 🤔 maybe more painting, picnic in woods with dog and Dd, something nice to cook 🤷🏻‍♀️

I’m on the sofa watching Corrie. Bored to tears because it’s so awful these days but I’ve nothing else to do. I’m hungry but can’t be arsed to make anything for dinner. We’re out of milk and bread and I really need to do the shopping but don’t think I can face it this evening.

UhtredRagnarson · 19/03/2021 19:57

Weekend plans- clean the house tomorrow. Then....... your guess is as good as mine. Skint, nowhere to go. DC won’t do anything with me. I’ve no dog to walk with anymore. Will do my census this evening I suppose. Exciting.

MutteringDarkly · 19/03/2021 19:57

Watching episode #5482751 of 'how to train your dragon' with DD and feigning consciousness enthusiasm

WorriedMillie · 19/03/2021 19:59

DD has just done Zoom brownies (biscuit making, ye gods, the mess!)
OH is downstairs clearing up said mess, I’m lounging on the bed watching Comic Relief
DD is meant to be putting PJs on, but she’s reading Harry Potter and eating biscuits

HeadLikeAFuckinOrange · 19/03/2021 19:59

Hi @Whenspringcomes

I’m sat on the sofa at home in Portugal I'm so, so jealous! Would much rather be sat bored in Portugal than the UK. How are things over there?
I had to take holidays so its my week off Grin I'm watching The X Files, eating sticky toffee pudding ice cream and deciding where to order food from.

TillyTopper · 19/03/2021 19:59

We (DH, DS (19) and me) are watching BBC 24 News and discussing it. We've just had dinner (M&S special as it's Friday). I'm planning on an early night, DH will probably do some more work, DS will probably hog the bath.

Weekend will be catching up on housework, got some admin to do, and Russian homework. Probably watch SNT and the Voice in the evening as I got over invested in the competition. Sunday I am not sure about!

zebrapig · 19/03/2021 20:03

Sat on the floor of DS's bedroom while he goes to sleep (he's 3). Then need to cook dinner and get DH to put DD to bed. I'm working tomorrow so will fit that intermittently around our plans of bugger all. Weekends normally involve a Maccies drive through breakfast one day and a walk round the village for a takeaway coffee and a trip to the park the other. I think the highlight this weekend will be a trip to Wickes or B&Q for one us to buy a hole saw to fit the new light in the downstairs loo.

Whenspringcomes · 19/03/2021 20:05

@HeadLikeAFuckinOrange (Great username 😆) there’s not much to be jealous of tbh 🙈still dark and sat inside and lockdown so not much to do 🤣numbers going down so hoping and praying things can start to open up more soon and my family can make it over in summer! V v slow with vaccines though compared to the uk 🙄

TaraR2020 · 19/03/2021 20:06

I'm contemplating whether I can be bothered to do the washing up before going to be early and feeling a bit sorry for myself - achey and tired after the vaccine yesterday.

Boredom seems to be always present these days.

TaraR2020 · 19/03/2021 20:06

Merryoldgoat · 19/03/2021 20:06

Listening to a podcast and sewing whilst dipping into MN. Will switch to crochet in a bit.

Haggisfish · 19/03/2021 20:09

I am browsing glitter balls to juj up my kitchen discos!

TaraR2020 · 19/03/2021 20:10

Oh a podcast is a good idea @merryoldgoat !

TimeForTeaAndG · 19/03/2021 20:12

Waiting on DD getting into bed just now. It's her 2nd lockdown birthday next week so not being too bothered about bedtime this weekend.

Tomorrow I will be doing some tidying. Sunday there will be dog walking and birthday dinner cos she is busy after school on her actual birthday.

And the weather is not too bad so might spend some time in the garden.

BrumBoo · 19/03/2021 20:14

Need to tidy up some toys but the toddler has conveniently fallen asleep on me. I suspect will just go to bed with the Switch in a bit, it's been a very long week and I'm quite happy at the thought of an early night after a bit of mindless gaming.

This weekend, I'm in full spring clean/clear out mode, but difficult to do so with the children at home. Looking forward to a long soak at some point.

Ilikewinter · 19/03/2021 20:14

Im home alone, DH is sleeping over at very poorly MIL.... just eaten a grab bag size of Revels and feel sick....im not hungry but totally bored. Up at 4.30am tomorrow for work so an early night for me 😫

CoodleMoodle · 19/03/2021 20:16

2.5yo DS is asleep and has been for half an hour or so, which is a relief. He's got his last molars coming through and don't we know about it...

7yo DD is upstairs getting her PJs on and brushing her teeth with DH. It was my turn to read to her tonight and we did three chapters, so my voice is shot! They sound like they're giggling about something rather than getting ready for bed, but I'm too tired to go up and hurry them along.

After she's in bed I'm going to finish my jigsaw and watch some TV, before crashing in bed. DH is halfway through a documentary about F1 so I imagine he'll finish that and do the same.

devildeepbluesea · 19/03/2021 20:18

I'm lying on the sofa watching Deathly hallows pt 1 with DD who is surgically attached to her iPad and Roblox.

Early bed, then tomorrow we'll take the rugby ball for a kick about. She's back to her dad tomorrow and I'm going to DSis's to watch ALL the rugby! And probably drink lots of cider.

2021youpromisedyoudbebetter · 19/03/2021 20:18

We are having an equivalent of a date night, so home made pizza, gin and a movie. The weekend will be full of de cluttering and trying to paint some of the house

lurch3r · 19/03/2021 20:21

I am sitting on the sofa alone thinking that I need to see someone about my dodgy knee. I fell on concrete whilst sprinting 2 weeks ago and I now have a big squashy lump under my knee joint. I thought it would go down with the bruising but was wrong. Have had some chips and might hobble off to bed. Living the dream.

Troublewaters2021 · 19/03/2021 20:21

I am home tonight whilst other half stays wiTh DD over night at the hospital ( I have been there all week ) so having lots of snuggles with the baby.

poshme · 19/03/2021 20:22

Just had baked Camembert with a very nice bottle of red wine which is sadly all gone.
Now sitting in the sofa faffing on MN while DP checks work emails.
Ignoring the kids who should be going to bed.
Want some more Wine

poshme · 19/03/2021 20:23

@lurch3r if you can afford it I recommend a private physio (ask locally for recommendations)
GP couldn't solve my knee after examination & x-ray. Physio knew within 5 minutes and gave me exercise to solve it.

Camomila · 19/03/2021 20:23

DH and DS1 are watching Top Gear,
DS2 has just fallen asleep across me and he's all nice and warm so I'm not moving (plus I'd have to tidy up!)

I've got a really snotty cold so planning to spend the weekend on the sofa with lemsip.
