and a bit bored...what are you doing right now on this Friday night and what are your weekend plans?
I’m sat on the sofa at home in Portugal, watching Corrie, eating Lidl chocolate mousse and crisp & mayo butties (Friday night or my eating crap night!) haven’t drank since April, so crisps are my thing.
Toddler Dd has gone to bed with Dp.
Need ideas for what to do for a lockdown weekend 🤔 maybe more painting, picnic in woods with dog and Dd, something nice to cook 🤷🏻‍♀️

I'm a bit bored and restless and twitchy! DH is in bed with a migraine, so I'm trying to decide if I can be arsed cooking dinner for just me. Having a glass of wine and watching The X Files (snap, @HeadLikeAFuckinOrange Grin. What season are you on?)

@Whenspringcomes, a picnic in the woods with your DD over the weekend sounds lovely. I have zero plans. Unless cleaning my bathroom counts? However will I cope with the excitement?! Wink

Vodkabulary · 19/03/2021 20:25

About to trace my latest embroidery pattern onto some fabric while being forced to watch spongebob with my eldest. Bed time for him in 5 minutes! Can’t wait Friday is DHs gaming night with his friends so I get to watch my trashy tv shows uninterrupted

Whenspringcomes · 19/03/2021 20:33

Now visiting my 12 year old self with Totp 1990 🤣excited to watch Gogglebox and that is quite literally the highlight of the week at the moment 😬

Belinda Carlisle was so pretty! Remember wanting to look like her

Currently relaxing on the sofa (35 weeks pregnant). Spent today at work so DD (aged 2) is at my mum's until tomorrow morning. I took the opportunity to take down her cot and replace it with a single mattress. This weekend I expect will be one of no sleep as DD gets used to her new bed 🙈
Will go for a walk around national trust gardens tomorrow afternoon and around the village on Sunday - probably to the park.

CompleteBarstool · 19/03/2021 20:42

Watching Grayson's Art Club on TV whilst simultaneously keeping an eye on Facebook local pages (and looking out of the window) to try and work out what all the police activity down the road is all about

Tianatiers · 19/03/2021 20:42

I'm watching Freaky Friday (the newer one) on disney plus, realising that last time I watched it I was close to the age of the daughter and now I'm close to the age of the mother Shock, going to bed soon as I can barely keep my eyes open. Rock and roll.

Spudbyanyothername · 19/03/2021 20:44

I’ve just tidied up and now going to read a bit before getting kids to bed.
I’m vaccinating lots of people tomorrow, hoping to get all done and to get to the park by 4pm. Me, DH and DC going to meet his DSis for a (technically not allowed) socially distanced walk on Sunday.

Most exciting is I got a discounted naice pizza today and it must be eaten today SmileWine my plans for later.

Loveatortie · 19/03/2021 20:45

I had my jab on Wednesday, sitting in bed with a glass of wine. Feeling happy 😁

Wavescrashingonthebeach · 19/03/2021 20:46

In bed with the dog snoring away.
Waiting to go into labour.
Done lots of walking and had a curry.
Not due til next week but keeping an eye out!
I guess weekend plans are more food, more walking & more killing time! Namely, reading and organising & spending ridiculous amount of time on MN! I go through phases where i binge it then dont come on the site at all for months!

merryhouse · 19/03/2021 20:49

Earlier we had pizza and then watched The Falcon and The Winter Soldier.

In a bit H and I will have a beer and watch the Bill Bailey that was on on Wednesday.

I imagine I will spend significant parts of the weekend seeing if any more vaccination slots have been added. That's probably the most exciting part. Will make a cake to finally finish off the ancient bottle of kirsch (ooh, must go and soak some raisins).

jiskoot · 19/03/2021 20:50

Currently eating a lateish dinner of pasta my husband has made for us whilst catching up on masterchef, will be joining a couple of work colleagues for some gaming in 15 minutes. Tomorrow I'm going to be doing some sewing (making a dress) and housework whilst DH will be out tinkering on an old tractor we just bought for our (run down) farm, he's trying to get the old girl to start. Sunday will be a day of rest! 😁

SquizzaMama · 19/03/2021 20:50

Currently snuggled up on my sofa, wood burner is crackling away...comic relief on in the back ground.

Wine is poured now my DS is in bed and I’m going through rightmove, looking for my dream house...

Youarenothere · 19/03/2021 20:51

I’m watching Beverley Hills Cop, and just sitting around waiting to have my baby, 40+5 and no sign yet. This weekend I’ll be mostly trying all the old wives tales to get this baby out of me. (In between endless dinosaur games, discussions, play, chasing, drawing etc with my 3yr old.)

Iwouldbecomplex · 19/03/2021 20:51

Just tried £500 of asos stuff on that I now have to mostly send back because I got carried away on my credit card in the sale but can't actually afford it. Plus I'd only ordered useless glitzy going out out type stuff which obviously I have nowhere go in. I keeping a dress and some espradrlilles though because I live in hope of summer and holidays. And it was fun trying them on! Watching your honour now and then bed. Probably housework, business admin and tv tomorrow. Definitely a run at some point over the weekend. And a takeaway because we have one every weekend. God I'm bored. Roll on end of lockdown.

SimonJT · 19/03/2021 20:54

MiniSJT is asleep.

I’m about to finish a jungle houseplant puzzle we started yesterday.

Tomorrow a friend is joining us for a bike ride and a picnic, if the weather isn’t great we’ll have the picnic at home. We’re also going to be making pizzas/a mess.

Not sure about Sunday.

AgeLikeWine · 19/03/2021 20:55

I’m at home watching Fulham v Leeds while scoffing a large bowl of DP’s delicious chilli washed down with a bottle of weissbier.

nokidshere · 19/03/2021 20:57

I'm watching tv and wondering why they feel the need to play loud background noise/music over the lovely Lucy Worsely. It's so irritating and spoiling my enjoyment.

Have got no plans at all for the weekend.

Sparklesocks · 19/03/2021 21:00

Watching TOTP (bbc4) with DP. Had a nice steak for dinner and will probably put a film on a bit. I’ve got a vanilla vodka and coke and will have a creme egg shortly. We are viewing a house in the morning but are trying not to get too excited as we keep getting out of on the properties we love. Lockdown weekends are very samey but it’s nice to decompress after a busy week at work.

Mrstumbletap · 19/03/2021 21:01

Just made DH and I dinner. We are now cosied up on the sofa with a big blanket looking forward gogglebox in a minute.

Then another episode of something else then bed for some fun time.

Tomorrow will be day of fun with DS we usually play games, muck about, walk the dog, and then make a nice curry for the evening when DH gets in from work.
Sunday will be bit of DIY, washing, dog walk and cook a roast maybe a board game/switch game.

I actually really enjoy these quiet weekends I could happily do it forever. I like quiet and calm though and I'm a bit of an introvert.

Sparklesocks · 19/03/2021 21:02

*outbid!

ThatOtherPoster · 19/03/2021 21:03

I love threads like these! So cosy and sweet getting a sneak peek into other people’s evenings.

My DC have gone to their dad’s. I’m in the sitting room with DH. The Su2C Bake Off is on. He’s watching that and sniffing occasionally (had his jab yesterday). I’m half-watching it, but mainly scrolling MN. Feel old and ugly lately so really should go, have a bath, and do fake tan and wash some colour through my hair, paint my toenails etc..... but can’t be arsed.

Tablegs · 19/03/2021 21:03

We are all currently digesting the most enormous load of fish and chips from the mobile fish and chip shop that comes to our village. Adult dc are upstairs on either zoom or x-box, dh is looking at guitar amps on eBay and I'm MNetting while watching a documentary about vintage aircraft being renovated.

Tomorrow I shall be gardening, and depending on whether it rains or not, Sunday also. Don't know what the rest of them are doing.

ineedaholidayandwine · 19/03/2021 21:04

Watching Netflix with a wine. Bloody bored, boring weekend ahead constantly tidying for house viewings.
Roll on zoos etc opening! Weekends are crap right now.

1forAll74 · 19/03/2021 21:05

I am actually cleaning up my little kitchen right now, but just stopped for a cup of tea. I have had two plumbing men in the kitchen today, I had a bad water leak, coming through the ceiling, and they had to find where the leak was, that ended up with them bashing my ceiling down in the area of the water leak,so now have a huge area, with a huge big hole in the ceiling. My house is very old,as in 150 years old. Although the men covered the floor, an avalanche of wet and grotty ceiling and wood came down, so still a lot of dust and crap to clean up. and can't get the ceiling repaired until everything dries out.

So not an exciting Friday night, and missed Corrie, !!!

EssexLioness · 19/03/2021 21:09

@nokidshere what programme was that please? I’ve missed it and love anything with Lucy in. Wondering if I might find it on catch up.
