Right, it's 2 in the morning, I've drank too much coffee in a bid to stay up and finish this essay, and I cannot stop thinking about the Richard Osman sex dream thread from the other day.
Richard is not my type despite the very large hands but it has got me thinking about comedy-adjacent people who I think are Quite Fit, and I need to know I'm not alone.

My picks:

  • Richard Ayoade - awkward and funny and lovely and hot
  • James Acaster - exactly the same reasons (I have a type Blush)
  • Mike Wozniak - I was lucky enough to go to the Taskmaster recordings in October and after seeing him on there I've secretly thought of him as quite attractive. Think it's the moustache, but I'm usually anti-facial hair so I'm not quite sure where that's come from...

Please entertain me during my coffee-fuelled mania by telling me your comedy crushes. I can't be the only one can I?

Alan Davies was very hot in Bob and Rose. Made me see him in a whole new light when he was wandering around in clingy boxers.

Bloodypunkrockers · 26/02/2021 17:29

I love a funny man

Ben Willbond has been mentioned but just as hot is his partner in crime Laurence Rickard. He is very, very nice indeed. Especially as a cave man. Funny and with cute legs and a gorgeous bum

CounsellorTroi · 26/02/2021 17:43

Another comedian I like, who I don't think has been mentioned, is Jon Culshaw. He's from Ormskirk and I'm a bit of a sucker for northern vowels.

Any HH character which requires Mathew Baynton to wear guyliner is good too, particularly Charles II and Dick Turpin.

BraveBananaBadge · 26/02/2021 20:08

Loving this thread, didn't realise I had a thing for so many comics but think all the bases are covered here 😂

Must love a satirist though as Minchin, Jon Stewart, Colbert, Trevor Noah all work for me. (Honorary girl crush - Alice Fraser.)

Stewart Lee when his nostrils flare when he's trying not to laugh. And well done the pp who mentioned Noah Kumar's laugh as well, it's adorable.

Boosh fans can have Noel Fielding, Julian Barratt's always been where it's at Wink

Bloodypunkrockers · 26/02/2021 20:18

Oooh yes. Julian Barrett has always had that understated smoulder going on

Even with the moustache

WeeWillyWanky · 26/02/2021 20:22

@hopelessbusiness

Oooh just remembered Ryan Stiles from 90's Whose Line Is It Anyway...that'll make my Friday afternoon go a bit quicker swoons
Yes!! I also fancied Tony Slattery.
WeeWillyWanky · 26/02/2021 20:26

Imagine this thread if it were the 70s. Can't imagine many people lusting after Bernard Manning and Jimmy Tarbuck.

GreeboIsMySpiritAnimal · 26/02/2021 20:26

Ahhh, sorry Spanish and Tartans, John Robins is mine! Even with all the Queen t-shirts

mumtoboyscanterbury · 26/02/2021 20:32

@heatherhoneys I liked Romesh even more after reading his books! I think he comes across brilliantly. I don’t fancy him though.

However, James Acaster and Jamie Demetriou. Hubba hubba.

JWrecks · 26/02/2021 20:34

Very Yes to Kevin Bridges and Russell Howard!

mumtoboyscanterbury · 26/02/2021 20:35

@Yumyumdindins

Absolutely Ed Gamble. Fancy the pants off him.

Ed and James Acaster do a hilarious podcast called ‘Off Menu’ where they invite other celebs/comedians to talk about their imaginary perfect restaurant and the food they’d eat/drink. It is so so funny.

I love Off Menu SO MUCH. I relisten to episodes all the time! It’s my happy place. POPPADOMS OR BREAD @Yumyumdindins ????
BraveBananaBadge · 26/02/2021 20:36

Noah Kumar, honest to God. Nish, obviously, Nish!

Puffalicious · 26/02/2021 20:37

For all those fancying Ed Byrne, I went to uni with him. We were in the drama society together Grin. He was genuinely very funny but a bit intense with all the chicks who followed him around.Confused

mumtoboyscanterbury · 26/02/2021 20:40

@Negnog

David Mitchell and Richard Ayoade.

Katherine Ryan talked a while ago about Beta males on her podcast and it really put me off James Acaster. I’m not sure if that who she was actually talking about but that’s who it sounded like to me and it made me look at him differently (possibly unfairly)

@Negnog I must have missed that - do you know which episode it was?
CounsellorTroi · 26/02/2021 20:40

Oh and David O'Doherty.
