...or items?

Mine have been:

  1. A large transparent command hook that I put on the side of a chest of drawers to hang my hairdryer on (I tried lots of other sticky hooks before but that was the only one that actually worked)
  1. Buying all the same clothes hangers so DD's clothes look tidier
  1. A large kitchen sink tidier which has instantly made the kitchen side less messy

I am on a constant mission to improve our living spaces, so AIBU to ask what yours have been?

Decent walking boots and a good waterproof coat. Essential for when life outside work has been queueing in the rain for the supermarket or going on muddy walks and not much else.

InconvenientPeg · 18/02/2021 20:00

A new kitchen with an amazing fridge freezer that I love despite the handless doors being a nightmare to keep even vaguely clean looking.

A total garden makeover which we haven't really been able to enjoy yet, but it's time is coming and I do get a little heart jump every time I look out the window.

A cross trainer which everyone is still actually using!

A waffle/panni/toastie maker

And I bought dh a heated throw today from Aldi and I'm so excited to surprise him with it, he's always cold!

MintyMabel · 18/02/2021 20:00

Shiatsu neck and shoulder massager.

LadyDanburysCane · 18/02/2021 20:01

Other posts reminded me that I got some wireless ear buds so I can listen to my music or podcasts whilst exercising or doing housework without disturbing DH or DS while they are working / studying. When I used to be home alone I’d just have everything playing through the house wide sound system.

Thermal vests
Fingerless gloves for typing

ToDoListAddict · 18/02/2021 20:02

An Oodie! So warm & comfy!

Daisy829 · 18/02/2021 20:03

Muck boots and wine. Mainly the wine.

mrboingboing · 18/02/2021 20:03

I shouldn't have read this thread. I've already been on Amazon and ordered a bed desk and am seriously eyeing up an Oodie and paint by numbers. Definitely going to get a Soda Stream too, I love fizzy water but wasted so much when it was flat.

mrboingboing · 18/02/2021 20:05

I take it back, how much for a bloody soda stream 😱😱😱😱?

MissFlite · 18/02/2021 20:06

Daisy829 · 18/02/2021 20:07

Oh I got an oodie too. Amazing. Also a dog. Love him.

feistyoneyouare · 18/02/2021 20:07

@CherieBabySpliffUp

A heated throw so when I get cold I can keep warm without having to put the heating on.
Me too, I absolutely love mine! Don't know what I ever did without one!

And, at the risk of sparking controversy Grin a silicone loo brush.

feistyoneyouare · 18/02/2021 20:08

And a proper, sensible, grown-up winter coat from Seasalt. (I'm 53. Grin )

Tier500 · 18/02/2021 20:11

@MessAllOver which coffee cup did you get? I need one for same reason and my camelbak one is leaking.

My best purchase is a baby wearing coat for DD2. She was born in November and i foresaw months of standing in freezing parks watching DD1 run around. It was pricey but so worth it. The baby sleeps for hours in the sling and I know she’s warm and dry in there.

Toddlerteaplease · 18/02/2021 20:12

A coffee machine!

Beautiful3 · 18/02/2021 20:13

Disney plus, an oodie (it is like wearing a duvet and so warm!), ground coffee (never drink instant coffee now) and cafeterie.

CosmicComfort · 18/02/2021 20:13

In lockdown 1 we splashed out on beautiful garden furniture which was a lovely way to relax after stressful days at work.

Sadly not been quite so useful during winter.

My crochet hooks and yarn have saved my sanity during covid but techically I had what I needed and didn’t need the extra hooks and mountains of yarn I have bought since covid started😳

LadyCatStark · 18/02/2021 20:15

A Nespresso coffee machine and decent walking boots for all of us.

ZZTopGuitarSolo · 18/02/2021 20:15

@MintyMabel please let me know which shiatsu massager you got-it's too long until I can get a treatment & am desperate for something!
