...or items?

Mine have been:

  1. A large transparent command hook that I put on the side of a chest of drawers to hang my hairdryer on (I tried lots of other sticky hooks before but that was the only one that actually worked)
  1. Buying all the same clothes hangers so DD's clothes look tidier
  1. A large kitchen sink tidier which has instantly made the kitchen side less messy

I am on a constant mission to improve our living spaces, so AIBU to ask what yours have been?

Peloton...and the same Cambridge Audio ear buds as @Lincslady53. I use them on the peloton, and to listen to endless audiobooks or meditations from my phone. So good, I've considered a second pair so that I always have some charged! I never wore ear phones pre Covid.

I take it back, how much for a bloody soda stream 😱😱😱😱?
I swear these are aimed at those of us who didn't get one as a child!!

@trickyex

My Melitta coffee maker is my best buy and XBox for teen DSs.

The pizza ovens look tempting, any recommendations on which are best buys please?

Ooni Karu- we use wood and charcoal but you can buy a gas burner for it. Heats up in 20 min, cooks a pizza in 60 seconds, can use cast iron griddle in it for steaks, fajitas, tikka etc. Love it.

Airpod pros - great for calls and the noise cancelling feature is pretty good.

ThatchersCold · 18/02/2021 20:22

A pony - gives us a reason to get out of the house for about 3 hours a day.

Lockdown 1 - free standing swimming pool for the garden, was used every day until September.

Just bought an inflatable hot tub but haven’t put it up yet, I’m anticipating it being similarly popular.

Hairdressing scissors were a good shout too.

Breadmaker

Ring Fit Adventure for the Nintendo Switch so we can keep fit even when it's sheeting it down outside.

My Ringfit has kept me sane these last few months since the bad weather started. Pro tip: sports bra

A brand new greenhouse after I lost the old one in a storm.

MoreMoneyPlease · 18/02/2021 20:24

The RB Digital app for free ebooks and audio books (just link it to your library card).

Lots of jigsaws. Big Lego sets like the Apollo Saturn have been brilliant for keeping us busy. The Calm app for meditation and lovely bedtime stories.

scrivette · 18/02/2021 20:26

Also a piece of walnut for DH to turn into a desk and some shelves for me, it's beautiful and I love sitting at it and working or looking at it.

This thread has been quite expensive for me, I have lots of things in my Amazon basket now!

Blondiney · 18/02/2021 20:27

An extra chest freezer.

AliceMcK · 18/02/2021 20:29

Face paint and hair chalks, keep my DCs entertained for hours making each other up.

Electric back massager so so goood.

GoldSlipper · 18/02/2021 20:29

Laptop stand (no more sore necks for me!), wireless keyboard and mouse so I'm basically using my laptop like a desktop computer.

Also loving my new thermal socks, gloves and full length feather down coat for long walks in the snow.

Stroller15 · 18/02/2021 20:30

It's threads like these that costs me money! Since the first lockdown, we bought a tumble dryer, shark cordless, new TV, nintendo switch, office equipment, and that's just what I can see from the sofa! I now think I'm an emotional lockdown shopper?!

baileysisforme · 18/02/2021 20:30

A tablet
A Nintendo switch
A printer

Apart from the laptop for my son to do his schoolwork, wellies for the whole family so we can go out and take a walk by the river every day no matter what the weather is like. Bought loads of duck food for our walks too.
Other things, the nutribullet, books to read, sketchbooks, graphite pencils that got me so excited again like a child!
A yoga mat for my mum and a nice Pilates dvd for her, she loves it! (She lives alone and it keeps her feeling healthy and positive) -
I bought a hammock for the garden, which was lovely last summer. And... subscription to a newspaper.

demelza82 · 18/02/2021 20:32

Me - heated throw, Oodie, Udemy courses, Skillshare subscription, Fender Play subscription for ukelele and guitar, Dorling Kindersley course books on design and coding, smart TV , cocktail making/tutored tasting sets with online demos from Stir Crazy Drinks for zoom cocktail nights with friends around the country

I'm responsible for 2 sets of elderly relatives without internet access so Amazon Prime and the Tesco Groceries Delivery Saver subscription with priority access to slots

My 5 year old - Teach Your Monster To Read app, Carol Vorderman workbooks, various Usborne Lift The Flap books , age appropriate LEGO, rolls of IKEA drawing paper, kids rugby ball

Di11y · 18/02/2021 20:32

copernicium · 18/02/2021 20:35

It's meant to be useful purchases made in lockdown?

Oh.

rawalpindithelabrador · 18/02/2021 20:35

A dartboard, an indoor basketball hoop, a shed for the garden.

pastaparadise · 18/02/2021 20:35

Posh neoprene wellies. Wear them daily and finally have warm feet.

kindlyensure · 18/02/2021 20:36

Exploding Kittens. Nice quick game to keep the teens at the table after dinner for an extra 10 minutes.

A puppy (not exploding).

veeeeh · 18/02/2021 20:37

More alcohol.

Let us get real here, there is only so much we can cope with if A. we cannot run for miles, B. we cannot bear another few circuits of the park. C. it is awful not being in social contact, and D, a drop of whatever is great!.

Going for bi annual blood tests with doc next week, so results should be interesting.Expecting a lecture, ha ha, but AFAIC doctors are humans too!

Okokokbear · 18/02/2021 20:38

Thermal socks!

IceCreamAndCandyfloss · 18/02/2021 20:38

Lots of similar items, mainly from the Christmas thread, hooded blanket, coffee maker, kindle books and craft activities. Already had amazon prime for years and it’s been even more amazing than usual.

Really want a soup maker now from reading this, any recommendations?
