...or items?

Mine have been:

  1. A large transparent command hook that I put on the side of a chest of drawers to hang my hairdryer on (I tried lots of other sticky hooks before but that was the only one that actually worked)
  1. Buying all the same clothes hangers so DD's clothes look tidier
  1. A large kitchen sink tidier which has instantly made the kitchen side less messy

I am on a constant mission to improve our living spaces, so AIBU to ask what yours have been?

Netflix subscription.
We already had Amazon Prime & Now tv, but NX has what I want to watch.

mdh2020 · 19/02/2021 19:03

We had to buy a new doorbell, king size bed, new food processor, new laptop, new iPad, and a new cooker. I also bought a small cross body bag to replace the large rucksack handbag I used to tote around.

cantbeatfreshsheets · 19/02/2021 19:04

Gusto subscription and resistance bands oh yes and my alo moves exercise subscription :) kept me sane these things!

  • new wellies ( no more wet socks on daily trudges from old worn out ones)
  • slippers again to replace very ratty ancient pair
  • and CLIPPERS- as well as husband and son my 14 year old daughter cuts my hair now and I love it! Also so easy to dye it wacky colours and brighten up lockdown monotony! Grin

I’ve been thinking of replacing our clothes hangars What do those of you who’ve invested in new ones recommend?

Thanks to whoever it was upthread for the table tennis set recommendation. It's the best £15 I've ever spent. All 3 of my DC are enjoying it, even the morose 12 year old! Grin

Passenger42 · 19/02/2021 19:49

My brother gave me his password to Netflix

MrsAvocet · 19/02/2021 19:56

Hair clippers for me. It's now about a year since my DH and 2 sons went to the hairdressers so I reckon we've saved quite a lot of money, and whilst obviously I'm not up to professional standards, they look ok. When hairdressers reopened they all said they were happy for me to keep doing it anyway.

Where did you get the fleece lined garden trousers from? I need those in my life!!!

itsnotmeitsu · 19/02/2021 20:20

That's a lovely message @AintPageantMaterial > "I am completely charmed by the notion of your DH watching a Playmobil soap opera. It’s a special relationship when two people are so in tune and feel so completely secure as to share this level of quirky with each other."

We'll have been married 32 years this year, so we probably do get each other. At the same time we're very different characters. If we were the same I don't want to think about what madness could have ensued!
