...or items?

Mine have been:

  1. A large transparent command hook that I put on the side of a chest of drawers to hang my hairdryer on (I tried lots of other sticky hooks before but that was the only one that actually worked)
  1. Buying all the same clothes hangers so DD's clothes look tidier
  1. A large kitchen sink tidier which has instantly made the kitchen side less messy

I am on a constant mission to improve our living spaces, so AIBU to ask what yours have been?

A smaller wobble board than my huge one I can never be bothered to get out and use, loads of books (physical and kindle), new bed/mattress, 5D painting kits and most important of all....CHOCOLATE!

I also had my 15+yr old carpet shampooer repaired!

CatsnCoffee · 19/02/2021 17:39

@WaltzForDebbie

Is gardening in them obligatory?
If not, details please!

RapunzelHadExtensions · 19/02/2021 17:40

A Bluetooth headband for listening to podcasts in bed without using earphones, and it doubles as a sleep eye mask.

Extendable marshmallow forks for round the firepit ❤️

Confusedandshaken · 19/02/2021 17:42

I am so sick of constant cooking and washing up/unloading the dishwasher I've started buying a sandwich platter whenever I manage to get an Ocado or Waitrose delivery. One of those plus some crisps, fruit, salad and cereal will last me and DH a couple of days. It can get a bit monotonous but the sheer joy of not having to think about what to cook makes it worthwhile

Dark teal coloured fleece throw for just my side of the bed as I am always cold and husband is always too hot. Gives me so much joy!

Anjo2011 · 19/02/2021 17:53

A flower subscription...I opt to have it every other week, I really look forward to the delivery, the arranging and then looking at them. They bring a lift to the gloom.

SlummingAngel · 19/02/2021 17:54

Sheepskin slippers from a company called SnowPaw.
Feet were getting cold from the draught from the conservatory (I work in the kitchen), even when I was wearing my normal cheapie slippers, but these have made all the difference.

My wellies! Best buy by far! Life wouldn't have been the same without them.
Also, tray table that hooks on to the steering wheel of the car to make car picnics a little more up-market! And ones that fix to the back of the front seats for the kids to put their sandwiches on.

Which wellies did you get?
Ash2956 · 19/02/2021 17:58

Ooh they sound lovely! May I ask where you bought them?
Thanks
Angela

@thegriffle I rent a printer, works out reasonable as all ink however many times is included in price, and they update printer from firm to time and repair for free. I am old enough to remember when we used radio rentals for our TV!

Vargas · 19/02/2021 18:03

Netflix. New slipper socks. Root coverup. Lots of books. New headphones. Jigsaws.

Pliudev · 19/02/2021 18:03

Fridge organisers, so all the jars, dairy etc. are stored on boxes. But the really best, though not useful unless you count brightening my day is LaoGanMa Chilli Crisp. It was voted condiment of 2020 by The New Yorker magazine. I'm spreading the word here. Try it, it makes anything savoury taste better.

RandomGirl · 19/02/2021 18:03

New sofa, new mattress and new bed. And a spiky ball. The backache and neck ache I’d had for years has all but gone. touches wood

OnlyTeaForMe · 19/02/2021 18:07

Spotify! I'm cross with myself for not getting it before.
Yes this is me too!
Ineke · 19/02/2021 18:07

@peaceanddove please tell me which TV you have bought. I am thinking of replacing our old TV which no longer works well with a Hisense but not sure yet.

Shona52 · 19/02/2021 18:10

@CherieBabySpliffUp

A heated throw so when I get cold I can keep warm without having to put the heating on.
I love mine too
