Most useful item purchased in lockdown

Mine have been:

1. A large transparent command hook that I put on the side of a chest of drawers to hang my hairdryer on (I tried lots of other sticky hooks before but that was the only one that actually worked)

1. Buying all the same clothes hangers so DD's clothes look tidier

1. A large kitchen sink tidier which has instantly made the kitchen side less messy

I am on a constant mission to improve our living spaces, so AIBU to ask what yours have been?

Sheepskin slippers from Lands End. Pricey (for me) but got them with a huge discount so much more affordable. I wear them every day, they don't smell and they're much warmer and sturdier than the hundreds of cheaper pairs I've bought over the years.
On a similar note, I've bought a few pairs of wool socks. Instantly warm feet. I've never thought of myself as a 'cold' person - I don't do very hot weather and hate overheating but working from home for most of lockdown, I've found sitting at a table all day makes me quite cold, particularly my lower half. I've been wearing leggings under trackies and on really cold days have sat with a hot water bottle and blanket wrapped round me like a sarong. I work in a cold warehouse so it's not like I'm not used to it! But sitting still for any length of time at home, even with heating on, I still get cold. The slippers and socks have been a godsend.

Poly color Schwarzkopf hair dye and that bowl and brush combo that they use at the salon. I’ve been dying my own hair for a year now with no disasters and saved a small fortune. Just wish I could cut my own hair too.

Started jogging more and got a multi-functional sports hoodie; the sleeves have thumb holes so they are like fingerless gloves, and you can fold them back so they turn into mittens. Very good for cold days as you can adjust the layers as you warm up without having pockets stuffed with gloves or a hat.

Hasn't improved my life as such as he is an utter pain the arse but after we had out 12yo girl put to sleep out house was missing a certain something.

We got him week before Xmas so it's been perfect as we've got to spend lots of time with him and not had to leave him alone.

Man I'd forgotten how much hard work kittens are though

Robovac - omg, my house is just permanently cleaner and the kids have anthropomorphised him so if I tell them to pick up the floor so the vac doesn't get tummy ache they actually do it!!!

Electric blanket. Omg. So nice over this last frigid month.

Also, not quite a lockdown buy. But I got a milk frothernfor my bday just before lockdown and it's kept me in lovely cappuccinos all year. Brill.

Bird feeders and a garden birds book. I have never had time to pay attention to the birds in the garden before whereas now in lockdown I spend many a happy half hour watching them, and I'm on a mission to outwit the squirrels who keep stealing the bird food (but are also quite entertaining).

More expensively, a desktop computer. Only had an ipad before, but for home schooling and for when DH has to work from home (teacher) a proper computer and desk has been absolutely invaluable.

A spare pushchair that can be left covered in mud in the garage after trips to the park. It was starting to put me off going out because of the clean up operation when we got home (I’m still at work and DD at nursery so need her normal buggy to be presentable for walking here there). It’s surprising what a difference it has made.

Those massive knee length hoodies from H&M. I literally live in them with leggings underneath.

A saucepan rack to go inside a cupboard, it has made our pan cupboard so much more organised!

Shelf extenders - they doubled the size of the spice cupboard and I could get everything finally in order so I can find what I’m looking for with ease. I then bought further sets to sort out two more cupboards!
