am I the only one who never liked Tony Stark?

I enjoy watching the Marvel movies but have found Iron Man
annoying since Ultron Its not RDJS fault at all Its the character.
He is just too smug and snarky.
I felt like he was the real villain in civil war.
he just always thinks he knows best for everyone(I cant stand people like this in real life) and though I enjoyed his story I am glad the character is gone
I thought about posting this in the movies thread but I thought this would be best place to ask.

They're all "faulty" except for CA , which is why I find him very meh. I don't think he's particularly attractive either.

Tony Stark is a dickhead but I like that, not as a relationship but as a mate or fuck buddy it would work.

I cant stand Captain America. So "holier than thou".
I love iron man though, power made him a better person, at first he was just doing whatever he wanted and watching the money roll in then he saw that his actions had consequences and tried to be better.

I could never warm to a character called Captain America anyway, the name is very off-putting!

He always thinks he knows best, he knew about Tony's parents and didn't tell him, he's just too goody goody and yet not. I find him irritating.

I hate captain marvel more though. All of this is her fault. I won't forgive her.

No way. Iron Man is amazing. Agree that Captain America is the most annoying - it’s like he has a poker up his ass - no sense of humour at all. I watch Thor on a loop when I’m on my exercise bike. Half an hour passes much more quickly.

I totally agree with all the CA criticism. I can’t even talk about it.

YANBU, I remember being so bloody annoyed with him watching Civil War and Infinity War. I wasn't arsed when he died TBH. I didn't actually really like any of them in the last two films. They all annoyed me, bickering and complaining all the time. Apart from Thor in Inifity War. Felt really sorry for him.

The only "death" that got to me was when Spiderman vanished. DH and I just sat there in the cinema going "they killed spiderman!" We didn't let our kids watch it until endgame and we knew he was OK for fear of traumatising them for life.

When Iron Man got off the plane and said ‘I lost the kid’ I was gone. It was downhill for me from there. I cried at all of it.

Drax is by far the sexiest in the Marvel Universe, followed by Aquaman, Falcon, Thor and whoever Daniel Kaluuya played in Black Panther.

Iron Man is very attractive but he would probably make me feel inadequate. Let's pretend for a moment that I look like Gwyneth Paltrow and have a script writer controlling what I say... None of the Guardians of the Galaxy crew. Not baby Spiderman. None of the villains, including Loki. All the rest of them: yes❤️‍🔥

Tony Stark is one of those charqctors/actors who always seemed a bit out of place to me. He seemed a bit wimpy and uncharismatic, and was always a bit angry. The actor didn't play him with depth, and I'm puzzled as to why he got the role.

I got the same feeling when watching a mini series on Netflix recently. It was about an elite University student society, all the characters were very affluent/well educated and the lead make actor and father of two beautiful, long, lean characters was a thickset thuggish looking bloke of about 5 feet 6 with a really strong Rotterdam accent (it was a Dutch mini series).

I never liked Tony Stark, far too smug and arrogant. My heart belongs to Loki, or any Tom hiddleston character for that matter.

I love Loki 😻😻 my daughter adores Cap-she's been smitten with CE for years.

Tony Stark, I don't really have opinion on. My fave is Hulk tbh.

Aquaman is fine but he's not marvel he's DC 😳

Thanks loveislouderthanwar, I have a total mental block about which universe is which. It drives my DH a bit nuts. I could swear that Aquaman was in the film that had fat Thor, but that may have been my subconscious convincing me that a happy dream was reality.

Captain is too straight laced whilst iron man is too full of himself. They both think they know better which is so annoying. Thor is very handsome but dim. I'm all for the hulk!

I’d like it noted and taken as as a given that Jason Momoa as Aquaman, himself or any other character is a YES.. all day, every day.

It's War Machine I can't stand though. I think Don Cheadle is miscast and preferred the original actor.

Yes. Worst marvel super hero ever. I can't being myself to care about him at all. He is almost as annoying as DC's Batman. Spiderman rules!
