Dh assaulted at work, ABH. What do we do?

Help. Dh was punched in the face by a colleague and then had his face grabbed with injutries

What have his work said? Are there witnesses? I’d report it to the police, and take pictures of his injuries

I should have worded that better - there is never any justifiable reason for punching someone.

What I really meant was, did this happen out of the blue or was there an argument beforehand.?

No, witnessed to be unprovoked, punched in the face then the man grabbed his face in sheer rage and was pushing thumb into his eye

Other colleague had to pull him off him. Dh bit his thumb to get it off him. Colleague 6 ft 5 on a step above him, dh 5 foot 6, totally over powered
