If OH employed ; boss/head of HR

custardbear · 06/01/2021 19:32

What happened for this attack to happen? I'd say police too, HR and line manager - plus ensure he isn't allowed near your DH

Sinful8 · 06/01/2021 19:35

@Sheilafeeler

No, witnessed to be unprovoked, punched in the face then the man grabbed his face in sheer rage and was pushing thumb into his eye
I don't think you're getting the full story here
Allispretty · 06/01/2021 19:35

Police issue first then depending on structure of company his line manager who will inform hr. this is terrible what line of work is he in?

Rainbunny · 06/01/2021 19:38

Police 100% and HR and management at his company.

You say it was unprovoked which I have no trouble believing but I'm honestly curious about this attacker. Is he violent in general? Are his colleagues scared of him? Was this violent act totally out of the blue?

Also, not that this excuses hime at all but did he communicate some reason for attacking your DH?

MrsBrunch · 06/01/2021 19:41

Why are you even asking?

Itstillfits · 06/01/2021 19:44

How awful. Agree with everyone involve police

Sheilafeeler · 06/01/2021 19:44

Colleague ex convict has threatened others

OP posts:
Plussizejumpsuit · 06/01/2021 19:45

God that's awful. Did the colleague have a reason? Not that anything would be reasonable! Just wonder what the fuck happened. What kind of of work does your husband do? Was anyone around like a manager?

Sheilafeeler · 06/01/2021 19:46

KennethBakeOff · 06/01/2021 19:48

OP, just call the Police, please. He will be taken out of circulation sharpish especially if he has previous.

He is obviously capable of doing this again and again - needs to be stopped.

MrsBrunch · 06/01/2021 19:49

Then just call the police. The number is 101

Sparklesocks · 06/01/2021 19:49

How awful, so the colleague just longed for him out of nowhere?
Yes I echo the other suggestions for police. It sounds very violent.

littlepattilou · 06/01/2021 19:49

@Sheilafeeler Police. Call the police.

Hope your DH is OK.

WhereverIGoddamnLike · 06/01/2021 19:50

What are you asking for?

You call the police. What else would you do? Honestly, some people.

Just call the police.

Plussizejumpsuit · 06/01/2021 19:50

Just saw your updates. He obviously just thinks this is an OK way to behave. Your poor husband! How's he doing?

Nicknacky · 06/01/2021 19:51

Does your husband want to contact the police?

WunWun · 06/01/2021 19:53

Why are you asking here? And why are you typing as if words are rationed?

What do you expect people to suggest? Other than reporting it to the police and his employers?

MichelleScarn · 06/01/2021 19:56

How's his vision? Poor bloke!

Frannibananni · 06/01/2021 19:58

What does your husband want to do?

Ok, so employer is aware and obviously I assume that means they accept an employee assaulted another?

So you need a copy of the hospital report (should have a discharge note?) and photos.

DH needs to write a statement whilst it's still clear in his head.

Call 101 in the morning and report it as assault.

He needs to ring into work sock due to his injuries and infirm boss he's making a police statement.

He also needs to be clear what he's willing to do with regards work.

Eg. Will be refuse work until bloke is suspended pending investigation.
Would he be willing to work if never with this bloke and guarantee they will not ever meet on a site?

SeasonFinale · 06/01/2021 19:59

And take lots of photos of the injuries, ask for the medical records of the injuries too.

earthyfire · 06/01/2021 19:59

police 100%
