Someone posted this in a group I am in, and I find it really offensive AIBU?!

OP posts:
IdblowJonSnow · 28/11/2020 09:59

It's very dated 'humour' and tasteless/pathetic. Given the OP's personal experience I can see why this has offended her.

Gobbycop · 28/11/2020 10:00

Being offended is not a choice, what a ridiculous comment.

But not as ridiculous as your virtue signalling.

So what are you going to do about it? Start a campaign to get this sort of outdated stuff banned?
Or just forget about it because it's really not important.

LondonlovesLola · 28/11/2020 10:01

So women who get raped are asking for it are they?

Oh God. Nobody said or implied that.
What a ridiculous post.

AmelieTaylor · 28/11/2020 10:01

🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄

I'd like to go to sleep & wake up in 1975. At least people had a sense of humour & weren't so bloidy op faced & offended by absolutely every thing (and the summer of '76 was just around the corner)

I was a small child last time, I'll go back as an adult this time. It was a great time!

TestingTestingWonTooFree · 28/11/2020 10:01

It’s tacky. I don’t find it inherently offensive, but I don’t think it’s suitable for sharing on most Facebook groups. I’d complain if it was posted on our neighbourhood group or the motorbike group I’m on.

WotWouldCJDo · 28/11/2020 10:01

I was in a community Facebook group for a nearby small town and this kind of thing was rife. I always found it a deliberately provocative act from a species going extinct.

nannybeach · 28/11/2020 10:02

Don;t look at it then, this is from someone natural blond and big boobs, one of my ex bosses said it was quiet obvious I WAS a natural blond, meaning of course I was stupid. I blam the like of the "page 3 girls" for this, putting it all out there, not just the boobs, that I find offensive.

Naff and cringe but not offensive.

I am (very) big of tit

TheFrogsNeedFeeding · 28/11/2020 10:03

I don't find it offensive. It isn't funny though

Crankley · 28/11/2020 10:03

It's one of thousands of postcard with similar smutty humour' that used to be sold in seaside towns in the 1950s when I was a child and not offensive to me.

Newkitchen123 · 28/11/2020 10:03

@LondonlovesLola

Men didn’t get off lightly either
Exactly! It's not offensive. It's off its time. OP get a grip! Too many people offended at the drop of a hat. I've got big boobs and I don't find it in the slightest offensive. It's a joke
MsIrrational · 28/11/2020 10:03

It's not funny but it isn't offensive. Very tacky and outdated though.

iklboogeymum · 28/11/2020 10:04

Your comments are far more offensive than the postcard.

NoPainNoTartine · 28/11/2020 10:04

You do not get to censor what other people find funny, you do not get to decide what is acceptable humour and what is not.

You really do not.

If you chose to be offended, it's up to you, no one cares or has to care. It's entirely on you.

You CAN complain about some jokes being shared in inappropriate settings, graphic jokes have no place in a child environment obviously.

You don't have to find anything funny, but get a grip, and stop being offended by ridiculous things.

NoPainNoTartine · 28/11/2020 10:05
@hellymissy

I have large boobs, unless I wear baggy high necked clothing they get stared at and commented on (less comments these days).

If I wear a vest or a T-shirt they are “on display” I don’t want comments on my boobs because I am also blonde and I have been spoken to like I am thick as shit because of that. It’s not ok.
ever considered it might not be because of your clothes or your hair colour?

AlexaShutUp · 28/11/2020 10:05

It's crass, and I would judge someone who posted something like this, but I am not offended as such.

BillyGroatsChuff · 28/11/2020 10:05

No. People are offended by anything and everything these days.

Joeblack066 · 28/11/2020 10:06

Outdated and pathetic. It was of its time, but no longer appropriate.

Ponoka7 · 28/11/2020 10:07

I'm not offended as such. But it's inappropriate for a mixed group chat and I'd object. You could put money on what he posts as getting worse and even more sexist.

Newkitchen123 · 28/11/2020 10:08

I'm also blond (even if it is out of a bottle lol) with big boobs. No one has ever once spoken down to me.

LondonlovesLola · 28/11/2020 10:08

You’re joking OP?
I find this comment offensive.
Nasty.

Benjispruce2 · 28/11/2020 10:09

Not offended just a bit bored.

NoPainNoTartine · 28/11/2020 10:09

since when do jokes have to be "appropriate"?

The audience must be appropriate, not the actual content. We have the right to find anything funny and joke about it. Some people even find it a relief to joke about horrible dramas they have been through - that's allowed too.

You do not get to police humour. The same way we don't police your right to be offended - it's your absolute right. We can laugh about it though. See how it works?

Benjispruce2 · 28/11/2020 10:11

If this is a male I would Hmm judge him as it’s not even funny so why bother posting it?
