Day after Brexit, Bojo will be gone like a rat from a sinking ship. And then we may get Rishior imagine Priti🤮

Or Gove - heaven help us Sad

@anon444877

Ivanka Trump tweeted: 'Every legally cast vote should be counted. Every illegally cast vote should not. This should not be controversial.

This is not a partisan statement — free and fair elections are the foundation of our democracy. Flag of United States'

---- So no sign they're giving up yet. The comments are calling her Eva Braun, eek!

That just makes me think even more that she's gearing up for her own political run. It's carefully worded (part nicked frome someone, McConnell maybe?) for plausible deniability whichever way this goes.

Trump wins "of course I supported you Daddy"
Trump loses " I didn't support any allegations of fraud, I supported the democratic process"

She'd be a far more "traditional " politician than him I think - weasel words and avoiding answers rather than the outright barefaced batshittery. Not saying that's better btw, if anything it's more dangerous.

RedToothBrush · 06/11/2020 16:02

@CaveMum

Has a curse been broken or something?! First Trump and now, possible, Putin?!
Its almost as if Putin is trolling!
StirlingFloss · 06/11/2020 16:02

Yes I was about to say, Gove. He's been waiting for his chance the little stirrer...

But f&£?ing hell can you imagine having Sarah Vine as our "First Lady"?? 🤢🤮🤮

Piggywaspushed · 06/11/2020 16:04

Hello all. Inside info.

My DSis is working at a polling station in Philadelphia. No doubt at all Pa. is going to Biden

AcrossthePond55 · 06/11/2020 16:05

New results Maricopa Co AZ shows a slight shrinkage of Biden's lead.

total percentages:
Biden 50.0%
Trump 48.9%

AcrossthePond55 · 06/11/2020 16:05

That percentage is statewide.

anon444877 · 06/11/2020 16:06

Yes @StatisticallyChallenged Ivanka could be dangerous, because she's a less mad seeming version of the same trump politics.

American women didn't like Hilary and they often like women like ACB and Ivanka fits that mode.

DuncinToffee · 06/11/2020 16:07

Nate Cohn @nate_cohn

Trump wins the new Maricopa, AZ ballots by just 5 points. Don't know if it'll allow a call, but that won't cut it for the president.

terrywynne · 06/11/2020 16:07

@KenAdams

Just catching up but I'm telling DD about Kamala Harris and she said "but mum, she's like me" (DD is mixed race). I could actually cry.
Yeah, I know there are question marks about what Biden can achieve (and the fact that he is unlikely to bring revolutionary change) but Kamala Harris as VP is going to be so important for whole swathes of children and young people to see.
RedToothBrush · 06/11/2020 16:07

Nate Silver @NateSilver538
Those Maricopa ballots have probably closed down Trump's path in Arizona. He needed to do much better.

Talk now that the remaining networks are about to call Arizona for Biden.

Fredelliottisayfredelliott · 06/11/2020 16:07

Bidens lead in Arizona is narrowing but as long as he gets PA its ok

BonnieDundee · 06/11/2020 16:07

Yes I was about to say, Gove. He's been waiting for his chance the little stirrer...

And Dominic continuing as special adviser Angry

3ormorecharacters · 06/11/2020 16:09

Both Ivanka and McConnell have made very "All Lives Matter" type statements by saying that they support the counting of legal votes, but not actually going as far as to say that they think there has been widespread fraud. Hedging their bets I guess.

Roussette · 06/11/2020 16:10

KenAdams that's wonderful Smile
When my DDs partner who is english born pakistani... when Sadiq Khan became Mayor, ... his Mum kept saying to him 'look, you could be Mayor too!'.
He says 'Errr Mum, I don't want to be Mayor!

3ormorecharacters · 06/11/2020 16:12

Arizona seems to be holding... Biden's lead has reduced slightly in a batch of results which was expected to favour Trump, but not by enough for Trump to be on pace to catch up. I really hope Arizona holds. That could be the one that breaks him - he really thinks he'll get it and prove Fox / AP wrong.

But Priti Patel or Rishi Sunak as PM will be the worst thing ever according to posters on this thread Confused

AcrossthePond55 · 06/11/2020 16:15

Oh. didn't work here. It's on the app though. I can't get it to post online.

New NV results expected at about 9am (local time). That's about 45 mins.

I didn't sleep much last night and was falling asleep on the sofa. Have just eaten half a packet of biscuits in an effort to stay awake Blush

AcrossthePond55 · 06/11/2020 16:18

PA update, Biden lead increased but they're talking to damn fast for me to catch how many votes he leads by.

Biden 49.4%
Trump 49.3%

Singasonga · 06/11/2020 16:19

To be fair, Priti Patel would be the worst thing ever because she's not actually competent. (Never forget her fight against "counter-terrorism!")
AcrossthePond55 · 06/11/2020 16:19

In AZ, Biden leads by 43,779 votes.

Nancydrawn · 06/11/2020 16:20

They estimate that 70-80% of the remaining 130k PA ballots will be blue.
