I agree. it's upsetting. One man just one man holding a country to ransom, inciting violence, reducing a wonderful country that we loved... to this.

I remember earlier this year, when some of the democratic states put a lockdown in place and trump blasted them on twitter and encouraged the people to revolt and protest against it. I said to my friend, 'it's like he wants to start a new civil war', I now genuinely believe he does.

It's like he wants to be seen as some martyr for the US in years to come.

Clearly somebody needs to take hold of him, like a tired and unreasonable toddler, and cart him off, but who would do that? And would he listen?

This was the only way Trump was ever going to leave the White House.

It is terrible. This is what you expect from fragile democracies in some African states (I’m from there and we are used to all sorts of antics). But this is the fucking USA. Wow!

I worry because African leaders who are not known for smooth transition of power will be getting emboldened and now rubbing their hands in glee at what’s unravelling. This is a dangerous precedent to set. I am livid! For purely selfish reasons and how this will set African democracy back
