As far as Scrotus, I think we will see NO concession speech or phone call congratulating Biden. Also, no pre-Inauguration morning tea/coffee for the Bidens hosted by the Trumps at the WH. No 'welcome' letter left on the Resolute Desk. And it wouldn't surprise me at all if Trump 'boycotts' the Inauguration, preferring instead to stay at the WH trying to smuggle out the silver and stuffing his suitcase with towels and knick knacks.

Yeah some kind of booby traps left in the presidents office, mousetrap in his drawers, clingfilm over his toilet etc.

Keep seeing Trump and Pence and wives coming on stage on a loop on the news channels and their (non distanced natch) audience/family. Can't stop shouting out "crooks! Here! Here are the crooks!"

Biden to give a statement shortly according to Sky News. Expect its likely to be more, stay calm, let's count all the votes, we're not declaring we've won but it looks like we will do, etc.

Another thought. Scrotus expected to breeze his way to a second term because he is a supreme narcissist, and instead has hit a brick wall of 'vote counting' . We are seeing in real time what happens when a narcissist is being denied what he wants when he wants it for probably the first time in their lives.

We still don't know the outcome, but we know Scrotus must be in a rage because his 'orders' to stop the counting are being ignored.

Biden and the team have obviously decided (don't blame them) that Joe coming out to talk to the people about covid and keeping calm and let the process work, as the people have spoken etc.... it's making him look presidential. And Trump dare not come out because I imagine his rage is off the scale.

Good move to grab the opportunity.

Donald Trump’s lead in Pennsylvania has dipped below 100,000 for the first time. Now 97,900. Still hundreds of thousands of votes (in predominantly Democratic areas) to be counted. Remember, if Biden takes PA, that’s it, the President can’t win.

@SquishyFishy the federal government has put a controlled over part of Delaware where Biden is. This protocol is usually used for a president elect I believe that tweet and graphic is saying.

Nevada - no more news today.

North Carolina - not reporting any additional results until next week. There are 116,000 outstanding requested absentee ballots which can be returned until 12 Nov provoked they are postmarked up to and including the day of the election.

Pennsylviania - expecting to count the majority of remaining ballots today (Thursday local time) and have a clear winner. They are separating ballots that arrived after 3rd Nov 8pm in case of a Trump Legal challenge. Top officials are saying that the late arriving ballots will only change the result if its super close. Everything being said (and DH's numbers) don't suggest that will be the case and it will go to Biden. So we should have a call for Pennsylviania today (over night UK). Its very difficult to say when this is likely to happen an exact time for this.

Georgia - Will be close to a straight 50-50 split on the likely numbers - it really could go either way. They are going slowly to ensure everything is above board. Even if they finish counting here today (Thursday local time) its unlikely it will be called and its extremely likely to go to a recount.

Arizona - had around 450,000 ballots to go as of this morning (local time). They spent the morning verifying the votes before counting, so thats whats holding things up there. They don't know how long before they get through those. So again going to be a while.

So we will find out on Pennsylviania but its going to be a while on the others which could still drop for Biden.

I would have thought it would be fairly normal for the Secret Service to treat both candidates as "potentially the next POTUS" until the counting's done. I don't think it indicates any belief as to which way the vote's going to go.

(AFAIK, all former presidents get a SS detail for life.)

Wherever the POTUS is becomes a 'no fly zone'. The FAA puts up coordinates to advise pilots of the area they have to stay out of.

It would look really bad if the secret service didn't protect Biden as a potential next POTUS and something happened to him, so can understand a cautious move on their part.
