US Elections - Trump or Biden, who will win?

655 replies

JustSaying101 · 03/11/2020 19:55

Intrigued to see who everyone thinks will win the current US presidential elections? I wouldn't personally vote for Trump, but I think he will manage to win another term. What do you think?

YABU = Trump will win
YANBU = Biden will win

I dread to think of the havoc Trump will cause for the American people in his last few weeks in charge if he does lose.

He's a sore loser who will make everyone pay for his defeat.

PhilSwagielka · 03/11/2020 22:27

When do we find out?

powershowerforanhour · 03/11/2020 22:28

fascinated to know what a President Trump who isn't President Elect would do for the rest of his term. Would he up the grift to new heights and get what he can from the situation by way of personal enrichment, or just go all can't-be-arsed and sack off the whole thing?

Lash out and throw as much on the bonfire- women's rights, immigration rights, environmental legislation, any good thing Obama did that Trump had overlooked repealing- as he possibly can out of spite before he's dragged off.

powershowerforanhour · 03/11/2020 22:30

And spraypaint TRUMP in big gold letters on each of the White House pillars.

keeprocking · 03/11/2020 22:32

@Leaannb

He will lose the popular vote but win the Electoral College Vote-,AGAIN...Dear God, prove me wrong
All the talk of winning 'the popular vote' is irrelevant, it happens in many countries, including the UK, at the end of the day it's their system, like it or not. The Dems would well to concentrate on finding an acceptable candidate for 2024, the Republicans will have to do the same too, irrespective of the outcome tomorrow.
PhilSwagielka · 03/11/2020 22:32

Someone spray painted 'TRUMP' on Jewish gravestones. Classy.

When do we find out?
Between midnight and 2am EST....

@the80sweregreat

I saw some votes being counted on tv earlier! Probably old footage from 4 years ago.
Some places have declared the reult, last time I saw anything it was 1 -1 but they're tiny places with fewer than 1000 voters.
tobee · 03/11/2020 22:40

@the80sweregreat

People see Trump as a positive force : a man who gets things done. They overlook the corruption and the bad things his done and said. It's almost a kind of brain washing. It is fascinating that people can support someone like him , but they do. Boris Johnson had the same effect last year.

It's awful though because his getting things done is largely a mirage. Wall anyone?

See also B. Johnson getting Brexit done with an oven ready deal.

x2boys · 03/11/2020 22:41

I think it will be Trump but I think it will be a bit of a farce with recounts.

michelle1504 · 03/11/2020 22:43

Trump, hopefully.

However we should probably stick to worrying about the state of our own country and its politics.

I am feeling so so so nervous.....overall imending sense of doom....if Trump gets in again....oh, just can't bear thinking about it.

Do you think if I sit here with my fingers, eyes and legs crossed for
the next 24 hours it will have any impact on the outcome Smile

MrsPeacockInTheLibrary · 03/11/2020 22:50

I have always believed it will be Trump.

Kljnmw3459 · 03/11/2020 22:50

It will be 2nd term for Trump. There hasn't been a one-term president for a long time and that's unlikely to change now.

x2boys · 03/11/2020 22:51

JustSaying101 · 03/11/2020 22:57

Really interesting to see everyone's responses so far. Currently around 50-50 in this poll on MN too, really not sure which way it will go. Anyone staying up tonight to watch all the drama unfold? Whatever happens, I'm hoping it doesn't get too ugly over the next few days...😬

Biden, but it will be close and I don't think the Democrats will take the Senate (though I'd love to be wrong).

x2boys · 03/11/2020 23:03

I would like to stay up but I have an early start ,I'm not sure the result will be clear for a while ?

Totally agree (although I think we're in the minority on here)

Just out of curiosity, I'd love to know how many people on here who clearly hate Trump, have ever done any independent research into what he's achieved (i.e. not what you've heard/read from MSM or from someone else's opinions - genuinely interested, not trying to cause a rift). Can't say I had much time for him until earlier this year, but it's amazing what you learn when you research.

Any person who donates his salary each month to charities & wants to (& is) putting an end to human trafficking, can't be all that bad in my books. Unlike the Biden's & those who have gone before him - they're the ones who are beyond corrupt & have sold America to the CCP. If Biden does get in (I don't think he will), he won't be president. That's already set up for Harris & Clinton (clinton-Harris.com website all set for launch). But the Dems have too much to lose & too much at stake, so they're not going to give up without a fight.

TheABC · 03/11/2020 23:09

I am soothing myself with thoughts of Cthulu rising out of the sea and eating the White House. It's 2020. Why not?

I find it interesting that the Democrats think trump will win, whilst the Republicans, the reverse. We've collectively stopped believing that things could get better.
