US Elections - Trump or Biden, who will win?

JustSaying101 · 03/11/2020 19:55

Intrigued to see who everyone thinks will win the current US presidential elections? I wouldn't personally vote for Trump, but I think he will manage to win another term. What do you think?

YABU = Trump will win
YANBU = Biden will win

Despite the misinfromation being spewed onto this thread

Agree - let's stick to the facts please.

Ihaveyourback · 05/11/2020 15:23

Pennsylvania now at 87% I somehow doubt it will be tomorrow notdavid but you keep doing you.

Watercoloursky · 05/11/2020 15:23

@Dongdingdong

Georgia just about to announce Trump win.

Where are you getting this from @Ihaveyourback? The most up to date information I can find on Georgia is 50,000 votes still to be counted with Trump 18,144 in the lead.

That's what I've seen too, @Dongdingdong - the latest figures have Trump at 49.6% (2,432,925) and Biden at 49.2% (2,414,781) - certainly not 'a number of percentage points in it', as PP have said...
Whitecottoncandy · 05/11/2020 15:28

@Ihaveyourback What news channel was this? There is literally no information or discussion from this anywhere from what I can see. What news bulletins are discussing this afternoon it so I can tune in and listen too?

Did you seriously say that BBC and other news outlets shouldn’t be declaring states early in previous posts and then go on to say that you are declaring Georgia for Trump now 😂😂😂😂

NotDavidTennant · 05/11/2020 15:31

Pennsylvania now at 87% I somehow doubt it will be tomorrow notdavid but you keep doing you.

That why I said tomorrow at the earliest.

Puzzledandpissedoff · 05/11/2020 15:33

Trump is really quiet. Worryingly so!

Even with the time difference he's probably closeted with the lawyers Wink

As a PP said, a landslide would at least have settled things, but that's not what they've got and it's looking like a complete mess has been made in too many quarters

However much megalomaniac Trump is hated he was always going to seize on something like this, and in some ways it's hard to blame him

wowfudge · 05/11/2020 15:33

@Ihaveyourback

I am now seeing Trump is just about to win Georgia. 99% and Trump in lead by a number of percentage points.
Where are you seeing this? CNN have 0.4% between the two candidates and 96% of the vote in. So it's not Trump in the lead by a number of percentage points.
Ihaveyourback · 05/11/2020 15:34

Interestingly all news channels have stopped saying Biden is going to win, on track to win, as good as won and all the rest....

I wonder if they know something we don't - all I have heard all day is Biden has all but won.

Sky have just announced Georgia result 'due any minute now' - Sophie Ridge at 1533. So I am sure we can all find out what is already painfully obvious. Trump win.
Why don't you just try turning the on switch on the TV white Grin

Trump will be making an announcement at 1630 from Nevada of all places, I can not think that is an accident.

Ihaveyourback · 05/11/2020 15:35

99% Georgia counting completed. Neither Trump nor Biden have moved an inch just Jo Jorgensen. Result imminent.

Ihaveyourback · 05/11/2020 15:35

If I was a betting woman I would be placing bets on a late run and win for Trump now.

wowfudge · 05/11/2020 15:36

@Ihaveyourback

99% Georgia counting completed. Neither Trump nor Biden have moved an inch just Jo Jorgensen. Result imminent.
I repeat: where are you seeing this? Don't just swerve from answering the question several posters have put to you.
wowfudge · 05/11/2020 15:37

Ah - you're saying Sky News.

Ihaveyourback · 05/11/2020 15:37

Sky bloody news, just put it on, you are annoying. Assuming you have live TV where you are, or you could just follow on the internet. I am also watching CNN.

Brightonbabe5 · 05/11/2020 15:40

Why are they so late calling Georgia when it's 99%? they were calling Arizona for Biden when it was only 87%?
I can't stand Trump but the commentary is ridiculously biased..

wowfudge · 05/11/2020 15:41

You're rude - no need for it.

wowfudge · 05/11/2020 15:43

Sky still have 4% of the vote to be counted in Georgia. Just saying....

NotDavidTennant · 05/11/2020 15:44

Why are they so late calling Georgia when it's 99%? they were calling Arizona for Biden when it was only 87%?

Because the race is so tight there. It could come down to just a few thousand votes either way.

Ihaveyourback · 05/11/2020 15:46

I need to do school run wow I don't have time to show you how to tune into TVs! Catch up later Wine

wowfudge · 05/11/2020 15:52

Some of us are working and keeping a weather eye on the situation rather than watching TV.

Kljnmw3459 · 05/11/2020 15:52

CNN is saying 60k votes left in Georgia with trump 18k in lead. So I think they can probably call it soon for trump. Unless biden is getting over 65% share. Seems unlikely even for mail ballots.

Brightonbabe5 · 05/11/2020 15:53

Thanks @NotDavidTennant

Watercoloursky · 05/11/2020 15:53

Strange - seems to me that Sky News says that there's still 60,000 votes to count in Georgia, and they're not expected to declare till noon (5pm UK time) - the election officials are actually giving an update now, which is streaming live on Sky News: news.sky.com/story/us-election-2020-live-donald-trump-and-joe-biden-making-final-pleas-to-us-voters-12121686

Whitecottoncandy · 05/11/2020 15:55

@Ihaveyourback ah as I suspected - zero evidence for your ‘postal vote scam’ information you’ve plastered over this and other threads.

Ergo it’s not happening.

40 mins now since you first proclaimed ‘Georgia just about to declare Trump win’ so yes I think I will wait on CNN rather than taking your ‘opinion’ on what is going to happen

Whitecottoncandy · 05/11/2020 15:56

@Ihaveyourback I need to do school run wow I don't have time to show you how to tune into TVs! Catch up later

Conveniently runs off as all this posters posts revealed as rubbish!

wowfudge · 05/11/2020 15:57

Georgia count not finished and postal votes can still come in tomorrow, be valid and be counted. They're hoping to have a result this evening local time. Emphasis on accuracy and ensuring every vote is counted.
