JustSaying101 · 03/11/2020 19:55

Intrigued to see who everyone thinks will win the current US presidential elections? I wouldn't personally vote for Trump, but I think he will manage to win another term. What do you think?

YABU = Trump will win
YANBU = Biden will win

Just read he's going to sue some states & wants the count stopped in pennsylvania🙄 what way will this turn out?!

MerchantOfVenom · 04/11/2020 21:44

He can try. I mean, it’s (still - just!) a free country. He can try anything, I guess.

To be fair to the Trump-stacked Supreme Court, they threw out several law suits trying to suppress voting/counting in various states just prior to the election, so you can only hope they follow the constitution when it comes to this, as well.

Brightonbabe5 · 04/11/2020 21:52

Isn't he just unbelievable, he hates losing😅

Woodentopper · 04/11/2020 21:52

Anyone except Trump should be able to defeat Biden and anyone except Biden should be able to defeat Trump.

Viviennemary · 04/11/2020 22:14

Exactly Woodentopper. Neither of them exactly inspire confidence. The world bullies will eat Biden for breakfast. It's quite worrying

SheepandCow · 04/11/2020 22:35

How about getting a bald eagle 🦅 in charge? They look like wise birds. (Handsome too.)

Biden been in the government since 1997, he knows what he is getting himself into
Blueberries0112 · 04/11/2020 22:39

Sorry , since 1973

Kljnmw3459 · 04/11/2020 23:05

@Mumofsend both sides seem to have better candidates at the beginning and they use some weird system to pick the worst one. Or so it seems....

SheepandCow · 04/11/2020 23:42

In other news Kanye West has conceded.

I think he's a real contender for 2024. This was just a practice run for him.

pistolknight · 04/11/2020 23:58

It's a bit like here though, this surely can't be the best for pm

How did you manage to find a picture of Boris looking relatively sensible? Grin
Brightonbabe5 · 05/11/2020 06:12

Still no change over night but Trump's lead in Pennsylvania & Georgia is shrinking. His supporters are gathering & chanting "stop the count, stop the count"

wowfudge · 05/11/2020 08:38

It's no coincidence that Trump made his middle of the night speech alleging fraud when it was pretty much down to postal votes, which are likely to favour Biden. Trump told his supporters not to vote by post. He voted early in person himself.

Turnout this year is massive.

Notthegoldenchild · 05/11/2020 08:38

How pathetic are they with that chant? They do not want all votes counted? They do not want every American to have their say? Absolute farce. Trump only wants what is best for him and nothing to do with what is best for his country and his idiotic cult followers listen to everything he says. When Biden wins and I believe now looking at figures even though Nevada are not releasing theirs till 9am our time, that he will win and rightfully so, but the incredible sulk will cause complete civil unrest. I am scared for the people of America today.

wowfudge · 05/11/2020 08:48

I agree - unbelievable that a president should invite his supporters to try to prevent legally cast votes being legally counted. That's not democracy. Trump thinks he's a dictator.

wowfudge · 05/11/2020 08:49

Incite not invite

wowfudge · 05/11/2020 08:50

DP has just said Trump is frustrated that he isn't a dictator, maybe that's more like it.

Woodentopper · 05/11/2020 09:20

If I was an American I think I'd be looking at setting up a joinery / glazing business.

Whoever wins I think there will soon be mass rioting, those who board up and repair broken shop windows will be rubbing their hands soon.

That's how he got on so well with Kim Jong Un, he hoped he'd be his role model.
Brightonbabe5 · 05/11/2020 09:46

Absolutely agree, there will be awful unrest in the states... This is going to spread the virus tenfold as well. The US is covid riddled enough as it is...
Yep besties with Putin & Kim Jong Un.... Refused to call out the Belarusian dictator during the rigged election during the summer. The Belarus president said "Trump was one of the greatest leaders the West has ever seen" 🙈Well they couldn't help him this time around...

Livelovebehappy · 05/11/2020 09:56

There’s talk of rules being broken in some key states as regards blocking counting observers from entering the premises by democrats. Surely Biden wouldn’t be so stupid as to approve this..........

Viviennemary · 05/11/2020 09:57

What's happened in Arizona. Sounds like it might not be Biden's after all. I'm glad our system is not to declare till all votes are counted.

Caroncanta · 05/11/2020 10:01

I have seen reports of biden voters using the details of dead people to cast their votes. How this could be possible I do not know, but one thing is for sure, whoever wins must win so democratically, and not by cheating.
