All my American friends voted Biden. Doesn’t mean shit.

TheClaws · 03/11/2020 23:55

@Khadernawazkhan

Sorry to say but there's going to be huge disappointment on here. Trump is going to storm this one. Have many friends and family (minorities) over there, and they are all voting for President Trump. The minority vote for Trump is much, much larger than you think.
That's nice, dear.
JamieLeeCurtains · 03/11/2020 23:56

I'm having a look at the ITV coverage.

colouringindoors · 04/11/2020 00:01

I simply cannot understand how minorities vote for Trump.

Hoping Khadernawazkhan is Russian....

PhilSwagielka · 04/11/2020 00:01

They were trolling the NI abortion thread earlier.

colouringindoors · 04/11/2020 00:02

holdmylobster love it

JamieLeeCurtains · 04/11/2020 00:03

Indiana called for Trump, ITV report. No surprise there, sadly.

lionheart · 04/11/2020 00:05

Sorry for the repetitions. MN is glitchy. Smile

colouringindoors · 04/11/2020 00:06

Kudos to ITV simply for having a black female US commentator (who's fab).

Contrast with bbc Andrew Neil...

TitoTipples · 04/11/2020 00:07

Too early to really get much of a measure of anything .. but Moscow-Mitch McConnell currently losing.... By about 0.01% but reading that made my neighborhood whoop out of their windows...

Apileofballyhoo · 04/11/2020 00:07

Here comes Florida. My heart is thumping.

How is that even possible - have they been counting votes all day?
lionheart · 04/11/2020 00:08

700% increase in young voters in some states...

colouringindoors · 04/11/2020 00:10

"Shy Trump voter" I find it hard to imagine, but.... I find it hard to imagine any Trunp voter.

I also think the hatred of elite and media is underestimated.

lionheart · 04/11/2020 00:10

NPR calls Vermont for Joe (3)

Roussette · 04/11/2020 00:11

I'm watching Sky news. They have on Kim Darroch the ex US ambassador who was sacked

... Biden leading in Virginia...

lionheart · 04/11/2020 00:11

No idea how.

Maybe the glitchy twitchiness in trans-Atlantic.

AcrossthePond55 · 04/11/2020 00:11

Thank goodness the person who knows everyone in the US has arrived to tell us what will happen!

@HoldMyLobster Should we think of this phenomenon as 'Trump-splaining by proxy'.

lavenderbongo · 04/11/2020 00:13

Hi. I’m watching from NZ. Watching CNN. Looking shaky for the Democrats 😞

colouringindoors · 04/11/2020 00:13

I also think the more Trump is mocked, the more his supporters support him and "convert" their neighbours. There are millions of people who feel totally alienated and failed by mainstream politics. We've seen that in UK too.

tobee · 04/11/2020 00:14

My ds keeps talking about shy Biden supporters. Which is worth thinking of.

colouringindoors · 04/11/2020 00:14

tobee I so hope there are many of those x

TitoTipples · 04/11/2020 00:15

Go Broward County, Florida! (Home of Mar-a-Largo) .... FLOTUS voted there today; .... but Biden leading with 75%

JamieLeeCurtains · 04/11/2020 00:17

@BenchHench some states have postal votes (mostly) already counted, some don't.

'Calling' a state is a (fairly confident) projection btw, not a result.
