He said she hadn't thanked him about not being kidnapped and probably killed -- he had the square root of bugger all to do with it!

Heffaloomia’s comment about the fly being a harbinger of death at the end of the last thread...my thoughts exactly. I suppose if it had been a movie there would have been signposts - a cut earlier on to the fly, buzzing noises in the background, the moderator swatting it - but for ad hoc unrehearsed, pretty perfect.

Of course Satan (Beelzebub) is the Lord of the Flies. This must be well known to millions of Christian fundamentalists in the USA. I think if that were my belief, I would have found the symbolism disconcerting. Though I suppose anyone hoping for End Times might not be bothered.

I had a random thought, I presume I'm not the first to wonder this but would like to know what you think.
As we know to our cost, Hillary Clinton won the "people's vote" in 2016 but lost the electoral college. Surely, after 4 years of Trump's fiasco, Democrats will do their utmost to ensure Biden gets in, despite his age and their other objections to him, and surely some Republicans will vote for Biden too, so how can Biden NOT get in? Is that too simplistic? Or will the electoral college f*ck it up again for the people of the USA?

Trump is bonkers and seems to find more nonsensical things to claim all the time. He reminds me of Katie Hopkins, where he claims to believe one thing but his actions say the opposite. For her it was baby names based around places (her daughter had a place name), for him it’s against abortion but happy to use cells from an aborted foetus.

So I guess the 25th Amend thing isn't to get the ball rolling (at this point) . It's a bill to 'formalize' the process by setting out rules and the structure of the bi-partisan committee that would be responsible for examining the evidence of a POTUS' instability and drafting the request for transfer of power.

It's a step. And I'm sure it'll still get under his skin. Which I'm sure is part of the point.

Can anyone tell me what the actual story is that he has garbled here? I mean, there's usually some story behind his wild ramblings, even if it's a rubbish story. So what are the fish, and where?

What's everyone's plans for Election Day? Will we know anything on the morning after?

Sadly, this is not the first time I've heard this story... maybe that means I spend too long on the internet and maybe I'm over invested or just maybe he's a fool.
