Thinking this through politically...
From the point of view of many conservatives, Trump is expendable as of a few days ago when he nominated Amy Coney Barrett to the Supreme Court.
They've got what they put him in office for. They don't need him any more.
If he dies, there will be highly distasteful public – or at least social media – celebrating by some real people who (justifiably) loathe Trump, and by a good few shitstirring trolls for good measure.
Those celebrating will not include Biden or Harris, but the spectacle will cause a backlash against the Dems or against generic "leftiness".
The rightwing, which has been perfectly happy to see children taken from their parents and shipped all over the US to be incarcerated, and has been cheering on white men who travel to another state with a weapon to roam the streets and shoot random black people dead, will clutch its collective pearls and denounce the leftist cybersprites as the beyond the pale.
The Repugs get an election bounce. Though it's not clear right now who would end up president.
