To think salted caramel Lindt balls...

Are the best thing ever?
Especially on a warm day when they are all melty and gooey?
I think they may be the nicest thing I have ever eaten.
I don’t work for Lindt btw, although maybe I should. Am seeking views to settle a household debate. Have name changed so the whole household can’t link to my previous threads.

Original Red followed closely by the Nicciolata (whole hazelnut in each) & Coconut for me - like eating a Bounty but without the bits.
If any of you are close to Clark's Village in Street, Somerset, there is a Lindt Outlet Store were they have ALL the flavours in pick-a-mix & everything is slightly cheaper & you get a loyalty card which, when you fill it with stamps, gets you a free bag of pick-a-mix Grin

Chocolate should taste of chocolate

Not mint- that is toothpaste
Orange -its a fruit
Salted? That goes on chips.

Lindtballsrock · 16/07/2020 22:50

NotNowPlzz it seriously works, it turns out I’m quite happy giving up desserts and other fun stuff if I can eat Lindt balls every few hours. Have been losing 1lb a week fairly steadily. But I have become slightly obsessed with Lindt balls 😂

Milk ones. You can't improve on perfection.

BiarritzCrackers · 16/07/2020 22:55

You're all mad. The centre of Lindt balls have that weird palm-oily texture. I will acknowledge, however, that the ball pit in pictures of the shops looks rather alluring.

imnottoofussed · 16/07/2020 22:56

Not that I've tried all flavours but currently my top one is mango. I have to avoid the Lindt shop in Manchester as I end up spending a fortune on pick and mix. Also a refrigerated chocolate fan

Jeremyironsnothing · 16/07/2020 23:14

Yabu The coconut ones are the best.

GabsAlot · 16/07/2020 23:17

i just love lindt

that is all

@ZazieRosa

There used to be Baileys ones. They were amazing. Sadly no more.
Baileys do their own truffle balls which have a similar consistency to Lindt balls and are lovely.

Didn't realise there were so many different flavours of Lindt balls. I love the red covered ones - my favourite chocolate probably, but an occasional treat.

Had a salted caramel bar from the shop in Leeds a while ago and haven't found them anywhere else

My dd bought me one home from doing the sop in Asda this week. Not had one before. Am definitely putting on the list for next week.

QuestionableMouse · 16/07/2020 23:25

All lindt chocolate is horrible and empty tasting.

Wincarnis · 16/07/2020 23:26

The Licorice one is the best

QuestionableMouse · 16/07/2020 23:27

Though there's an outlet shop not too far from me that my sister loves.

(Dalton Park, for all you North East folks.)

TheUnquestionedAnswer · 16/07/2020 23:27

I bought my mum 1k of mixed variety for her birthday, not sure what they were like, as I'd ordered some of the unusual ones. Lindt website in case anyone is wondering.

God no, not that I've tried them, caramel is one of my favourite sweet things and it has been ruined by salting it, all these companies could at least offer up a good old fashioned caramel in addition!

SuckingDieselFella · 16/07/2020 23:44

Coconut is the best. I love them.

GlumyGloomer · 16/07/2020 23:45

Peanut was definitely the best, but I've not seen them in many years. Oddly hazelnut is my least favourite, possibly because I can't forgive them for being the wrong type of nut.
Keeping Lindor in the fridge totally defeats the point of them, the middle is supposed to be melting.

toodlepipsqueaks · 16/07/2020 23:47

My sister brought me back the white chocolate and mango ones from holiday 😍 I think allowed myself one every two weeks to string them out as long as possible!

Dita73 · 16/07/2020 23:48

When the red Lindt balls first came out I was in love with them. I thought they were heavenly then one day I was eating one and the texture of the centre put a thought in my head that I couldn’t shift. As I was eating it I thought, this is exactly what chocolate margarine would taste like. After that I couldn’t stomach them! If I’m in a shop and I see them I have to look away as I feel so sick!

EyesOpening · 17/07/2020 00:00

@SuckingDieselFella

Coconut is the best. I love them.
God no, I hate coconut, I'd try a salted caramel before I tried a coconut one!
Holothane · 17/07/2020 00:01

Oh crumbs I’ve had a box in my fridge for two weeks awaiting my birthday a week today I’m in for a treat then? Yum I love caramel stuff.

ImOnTheWrongPlanet · 17/07/2020 00:05

Coconut are the best. Yes to them going warm and gooey inside.

Dugheed · 17/07/2020 00:11

Aldi used to do a decent dupe but haven't seen for ages Sad
