To think salted caramel Lindt balls...

Lindtballsrock · 16/07/2020 20:15

Are the best thing ever?
Especially on a warm day when they are all melty and gooey?
I think they may be the nicest thing I have ever eaten.
I don’t work for Lindt btw, although maybe I should. Am seeking views to settle a household debate. Have name changed so the whole household can’t link to my previous threads.

I love the Leeds Lindt shop. I spent £42 in there at Xmas on pick n mix

PrincessMonacoOfKent · 16/07/2020 20:35

They're fab! However, when I bought a box, DH immediately said that they made him think of the Chocolate Salty Balls song from South Park

Lindtballsrock · 16/07/2020 20:36

Lol, that song did cross my mind 😂

YABVU! Lindt balls should only be eaten out of the fridge!

Nutrigrainygoodness · 16/07/2020 20:38

YABVVVVU about the soft gooeyness. Lindt needs to be eaten directly from the fridge. 🤣
On the hunt for salted caramel now.
I love hotel chocolat salted caramel 😍

FredAstaireAteMyHamSandwich · 16/07/2020 20:42

Mango Lindt balls are the best!

ChardonnaysPetDragon · 16/07/2020 20:43

They are great.

If you happen to like palm oil and hate orang-utans and the rain forest.

nancybotwinbloom · 16/07/2020 20:43

Pistachio
Salted caramel
Mango

Never seen these where are you buying them?

Lindt balls are my fave

Lindtballsrock · 16/07/2020 20:44

What is all this crazy talk of mangoes and fridges??

Sorry, OP, YABU. Lindt chocolate is sweet shit - for people who don't really like chocolate. IMO, obvs.

princesshollysmagicalwand · 16/07/2020 20:44

Mint or orange are the best!

I remember going to New York where they have a couple of humungous shops that only sell Lindt balls and you just get a huge bucket (this is America, no little bags!) and go around it like a pick n mix.

It. Is. Amazing.

The dark chocolate ones are heaven to me. But hard to find

Lindtballsrock · 16/07/2020 20:45

They do boxes of the salted caramel ones in sainsburys, look out for the pale blue box

Anything salted caramel is the work of Satan Envy

Nutrigrainygoodness · 16/07/2020 20:46

@princesshollysmagicalwand I'm looking at flights 🤣

FuckyNel · 16/07/2020 20:49

They sell then on Ocado .....

CazzaCat · 16/07/2020 20:54

@Lindtballsrock

Oh I’m surprised Cazza! I thought they outshone the others by a long way. Maybe you had a bad batch!
@Lindtballsrock I’ll just have to try again Grin
pink1173 · 16/07/2020 20:58

I went to the Lindt D’or pick and mix shop yesterday...the mango ones are just amazing!

Lindtballsrock · 16/07/2020 20:59

It’s always worth another try, just to be on the safe side 😄

The white ones every time!

JasperRising · 16/07/2020 21:05

The best lindt balls/bars are the deal blue wrappers - called 'dark' I think, they fall between the red and black ones for cocoa content. They are delicious. Unfortunately they are not sold in the UK except by importers of European/US chocolates (at ridiculous prices). I was due to go to Europe at the end of March and the highlight was going to be stocking up! Then I had to cancel the trip due to covid. I am still bitter about this... I have one left from a previous trip that I am saving for an unspecified special occasion!

I think I had a salted caramel one once and found it a bit synthetic tasting. I may try again next time I see them on offer.

Apolloanddaphne · 16/07/2020 21:05

@rednsparkley The cold feeling in my mouth is what I love about Lindt balls!
